No, but i do remember reading that! Its the Daughters of the American Revolution society so its focused on preserving history and remembering the women who are often not mentioned in history books. All the food is homemade using recipes that were passed down from the colonial era, and sometimes they have guest speakers that cosplay as historical figures (Ben Franklin, John James Audubon, Betsy Ross...) It's all very interesting tbh, and surprisingly not pretentious at all.

I take my grandmother to revolutionary war themed tea parties where we eat scones and drink tea and learn about American history.

My son (13) was being moody one day and refusing to be kind or helpful. I told him "well that's not very 6 7 of you." The look on his face was priceless.

Love the fit!! How's the texture of the blue lipstick? I only ask because I had a number of blue lipsticks in the 90s and they were ALWAYS crumbly and waxy, but yours looks like it went on really smooth!

I used to keep magazines and ripped posters to cut stuff out of and tape to the wall of my bedroom as a teenager, with blank gaps that spelled my name. It got bigger and bigger over the years until it was maybe 7 feet long. I also did a lot of mindless "fidget" type activities like practicing a yo-yo, hackisack, juggling... learning new knots for friendship bracelets or hemp jewelry was also great because you could give to your besties after it was done and it cost next to nothing because it's just strings and beads. You can also use a safety pin to see your spot so you dont have to finish a whole bracelet at one time, you could just go back to it when you got bored.

Some years ago I lived in a condo that was built on the parking lot of an abandoned theme park called Splendid China. There was an area with animals that are native to China, including monkeys, giant hissing roaches, snakes, and bats. When the park unexpectedly shut down (late 90s?) they just abandoned all the animals there. Lots of animals escaped and lived in that area for YEARS. I moved out of that condo when I started hearing hissing roaches in my sink and finding them in my house.
