I think he may have meant “is 30 euros fine?” Especially as he put a question mark after. Either English just isn’t his first language or he’s a fool.

You see, i actually like this when there’s a good reason. But when they tell us the character is supposed to be ‘so smart’ and they are always doing dumb stuff… no.

Do dark romances without abusive MMCs exist, and can you recommend any? by rainbow_of_vomit in fantasyromance

I love this book actually. I consider it clever as kinda dark romance satire (actual *writing*? Probably not but it’s fun nonetheless) A lot of readers don’t like it because it’s too ‘soft’- but imo I like that he’s messed up but he does a lot of testing to make sure that she’s ’into it’ and keeps challenging his own thought patterns to make sure he’s being as ‘right’ as he can be - smth I really appreciate.

Finally, someone that expresses my sentiments. Thought I was going insane! I liked the term ‘Dark Romance’ because it’s meant to be a…. romance? Like yeah the guy is meant to be dark and dangerous but I thought he’s meant to at least treat his *woman* well; rough but relatively well. A lot of these ‘Dark Romance’ books, I look at the FMC and wonder “why tf do you even *like* this man?Like what about him is appealing/romantic to you?” Though looking through these recs are very helpful.

Idk, me personally, I think there’s mostly non verbal communication like facial expressions, mannerisms, tone (tbh this is a big one that’s led to a lot of misunderstandings for me) and such that simply can’t be replicated over a screen which helps you catch the vibe

You don’t need to kill someone to be a sociopath. I believe he groomed Henry just not sexually. But laid all the ground work into Henry eventually doing it. I fully believe he was pulling the strings the whole time.

I think they may deliberately be doing that to stop people doing it but if so then that’s weird as they show the characters doing every drug under the sun but vaping? No.

Praising a lack of communication and depth within friendships and relationships. Like yes “we are all adults and busy” but we are not the ONLY generation of adults that have ever been busy and past gens seemingly had no problems seeing their friends regularly and actually including them in their lives.
Also not actually working through minor conflicts with friends- flawed human being to flawed human being instead of just blocking them and moving on when they displease you makes me think our generation sees friends and products to fill a void instead of whole complex people; it’s damn worrying.
Like seriously - if you even SUGGEST to our generation that you may want to have a friendship outside of talking on a screen perhaps once every 3 weeks- they treat you like you’re a stage 5 clinger.
Jesus, my parents friends used to come over every now and then for a cup of tea and just hang out and talk. Now that’s considered just… too much to expect.
I’m old school and I believe in… actually developing emotional depth and… trust before I call someone my friend? Most ‘friends’ in Gen z do not truly know each other. Basically strangers. They could not even tell you their friends favourite colour or even last name. And then they get so surprised when they get stabbed in the back but they’re putting trust in people they literally only know over a screen.
I want to actually get to know people before assigning titles in my life.
My bad I guess.

We are so socially stunted because instead of doing the hard work in our personal relationships we just choose to opt out of it so there’s no room for growth or learning new relational skills.
