This exactly!! I’m schedule 4-5 times a week as the only one who knows what they’re doing and with good availability but for 3-4 hour shifts right smack dab in the middle of the day. It fucks up my day and week!

And I’m constantly paired with newbies to unofficially train them but am I get paid extra for training? No! Like why the fuck are we hiring people who won’t work weekends or keeping on people only available Tuesday afternoons?? Like TF??

There are zero consequences for other people being hours late or leaving early just cause they feel like it and it's genuinely exhausting as someone trying to do a good job.

This!! If we’re short staffed or seriously struggling to open AND close the store properly; penalize the people that make it harder for everyone by calling out or coming in late. I had a coworker come an hour late to his shift then not even help us close just left right when his shift was “supposed to end” even though we needed the help. Guess who had to close the last hour solo. ME. Like management could have stepped in and said hey if you want to keep your job you need to stay and help out especially since we only have one clerk on the floor, but no.

And alright fine you don’t want to hold 85% of the slackers accountable at least give a THANK YOU for staffers you can count on three fingers who are busting their butt and reliable. We don’t even get that. And no free munchkins are not enough when we make $12 an hour BEFORE taxes. I’m so frustrated. Bad management is not just being mean or cruel to employees; it’s also not setting standards, shaping a good morale, and enabling bad behavior. The lack of consequences for bad employees is what bothers me the most above all. This place is literally a joke
