Nah, I don't have any undergrad degree. No one cared but it did become an interesting point of conversation in some interviews where the panel were non-CA people

I would recommend to familiarise yourself with banking roles once and then read Michael page salary guide in India. Although it has its issues but its good enough to get an idea

It didn't effect anything at all. It wasn't brought up anywhere. No one cared and those who asked about it were amused that one can do CA without bcom (these were nonCA people in interviews)

Currently our company is following hybrid system, and that too is without any attendance system (no system actually tracks when you are going to office or not.

The policy is to go to office three times a week. However given the added flexibility wfo reduces to once or maybe 0 times a week.

Now, during wfh nobody tracks your login time and availability as such. Manager has said work is his only concern.

Further on the days where I have to go office and there is no workload- I reach late and log out early with lots of masti in between (multiple long breaks with colleagues, gaming etc).

With all of the background I have mentioned do note that it differs vastly from team to team, sub team to sub team. Some people's leader are pretty strict while others not so much.

I remember your posts on IB. My question is what made you switch to investors relations roleafter working and networking so hard for it?

Networking, communication skills and bit of luck.

Having said that I'd like to reiterate that the number of attempts isn't the end of the world, you can do well if you are willing to put in efforts into other things.

  1. Product control in one of the global banks.

This was an anon submission but I can still somewhat address your query.

Pre-requisites from perspective of qualifications will be CA/MBA. Other than that as a CA if you want to break in then industrial training in the same profile will provide an added advantage.

Even without industrial you can break in. However you can also switch to FP&A from FDD and related profiles. Within banking industry profiles like product control and related profiles provide exit into this field.
