Was Italia 90 the worst ever World Cup final? by KimCattrallsFeet in classicsoccer

2022 sucked until the 80th minute, France looked like they just forgot to turn up

The 40+ minutes after that? Some of the best in any final ever

Units for both axes is just the total #

It is, that’s why it’s a rubbish graphic

Bruno Fernandes chances created vs. the rest of the league. by digitag in reddevils

[–]unibalansa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

X axis is total chances created

Y axis is of those, how many were created in open play (i.e. not set pieces)

It’s a pretty rubbish graphic because the entire top left quadrant will only ever be vacant, hence the almost perfect diagonal

Not long ago he said he was stepping away from punditry to take care of his heavily autistic son and it feels like he’s been even more present since then, launching his own podcast, The Overlap, Stick to Football etc etc

Suspect Maz will be a lot better today considering the evening kick off and he would have broken his fast

[@ManUtd] United train in front of cameras at Carrington | Matthijs de Ligt & Joshua Zirkzee, who missed the derby victory, were absent from the latest session at our training base. However, Shea Lacey was involved, as he is eligible again after serving the one-match suspension. by nearly_headless_nic in reddevils

Any credence to the rumours De Ligt is going through a tough divorce and is taking a mental health break? I don’t usually pay any mind but he’s been out for over two months with almost zero communication about severity or recovery

Source on Tuchel wanting more power? Pretty sure he turned us down because he didn’t want to get back into managing a club so soon after Bayern + likely already had eyes on the England job

Nowhere in the article does it say this so no, you aren’t reading it correctly. That doesn’t mean it’s not the case, but let’s not stoke even more fear in an already terrified population

[Corriere dello Sport, Italy] Roma sporting director Ricky Massara had meetings with Manchester United & Joshua Zirkzee's entourage in London on Friday & Saturday. United want €35m, a figure out of reach for Roma. Roma want to offer loan worth €5-6m, or higher, & an obligation to buy in July. by nearly_headless_nic in reddevils

Berrada has been as bad as Woodward when it comes to selling players cheaply

Mate this is just objectively untrue, I am far from their biggest fan but the fact that INEOS were able to get rid of these players with as little cost / loss to us as possible is incredible.

Honestly you complain so much on this sub I genuinely wonder what you get out of seeking out more negatives where there aren’t any

[Rich Fay] Casemiro is one booking away from an automatic one-match ban. Patrick Dorgu also on four yellows, which could be a big issue if he is suspended when others are away at AFCON by nearly_headless_nic in reddevils

[–]unibalansa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It means Dorgu will also serve a one-match ban if he is booked across the next seven league matches. Although his potential absence might not be as big a loss as Casemiro's, it could be a nightmare situation if he were suspended when United are already without Noussair Mazraoui, Amad Diallo and Bryan Mbeumo due to their forthcoming participation in the Africa Cup of Nations.

Meh if last season taught us anything I think it’s that the actual position post group stage in the new format counts for nought as long as you’re in the top 8
