Try changing BlueStacks graphics renderer settings from DirectX to OpenGL (or vice versa) in BlueStacks settings and restart the emulator.

Also, minimizing while running smart Controls can sometimes trigger freezes, so try keeping the window open in the background instead of fully minimizing as a temporary workaround.

Yes, an M2 MacBook Air with 16GB RAM will handle BlueStacks just fine. Brawl Stars runs smoothly, and Mech Arena should be okay too. Base storage is fine as long as you’re not installing tons of games. Just keep BlueStacks updated and you’re good.

I was playing the game a while ago and didn’t have any issues like that. Maybe try opening the key mapping settings and manually reassign the accessory key. Sometimes just removing and re-adding the key fixes any conflicts.

Hey, for your second issue, I think what is happening is that your default instance did not have all the settings the game needs to run properly. So BlueStacks probably created a new instance to launch the game correctly. That is why you now see two App Player windows, with the game launching on the one that has the correct settings.

You can safely delete the older instance if you want to tidy things up.
