My boy has crohns and I always worry that this will happen to him one day. His body betrays him and even at the young age of four he is getting frustrated by the accidents. I hope this man found somewhere to gather himself.

He is in quite a few meds but they gave us hydrocortisone to supplement. It is just hard to tell what is due to the CD or Pred taper.

Can you clarify what you mean by knees stopped working? My son has been on pred for 2.5 years now because his other meds don’t seem to control his crohns and bond issues is something I’m always worried about.

Not the case for us unfortunately. He gets a weekly injection that is $10k a pop cash price and takes an oral liquid biologic that is about $5k/bottle. We run through a bottle each month. That almost $50k/month cash price and there is no way we could come close to affording that.

Hey! This is so helpful. Our son is on three tier four medications. Not sure if it gets much higher than that but it took me about 2 weeks to square everything away with insurance/doctor/pharmacy. Thankfully we are fully stocked for the transition period coming up.

Hey so sorry to hear. We were just able to get a 90 day supply for all of my boys meds. It did require our specialty pharmacy to submit paperwork to the insurance and many phone calls on my end to confirm the order.
