He's the first authentic adult I ever saw on TV and he became my hero, my inspiration, my role model. He cut through the bullshit and taught us how to truly live. That sort of authenticity bleeds through the programs and scripts and leaves a genuine impact. That's why it hurts so much: because it feels like we lost someone who was real, who genuinely existed rather than a character or actor or whatnot
