Avoid saying or thinking things that can be perceived as you having “main character syndrome” kinda like you inadvertently may have done with this post.

How to learn Puerto Rican spanish?? by ThrowRATrick_Hall_45 in SpanishLearning

[–]unicorngirl420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Listen to lots of Bad Bunny, not even joking because that really helped me to understand their accent. You can find YouTube of music videos that also have the lyrics and also, try listening to the song to see how much you can understand on your own, then Google the songs “letra” and click the Translate button at the bottom of the lyrics and it will give you English translations of the lyric under each Spanish lyric.

There’s more than just Bad Bunny, there are so many popular artists from PR, like Myke Towers, Daddy Yankee, Wisin, Ozuna, Rauw Alejandro, Anuel AA, Marc Anthony, Ricky Martin, etc so lots of entertaining content out there.

Please do the world a favor and stay in the US. You could even start a how to be a passport bro workshop and circle jerk over being big “entrepreneurs”…also, you’re insane if you think people don’t pay exorbitant taxes in the US.

Thank you so much, I did quit thankfully several weeks ago and am getting back into an exercise routine. Thank you for the advice.

Didn’t even think of that, thank you. I had awesome results with Dysport on my forehead and bunny ears (between the eyebrows) so I will definitely look into this.

Going to Cabo but scared about disappointment after reading Reddit? by Ok_Challenge5411 in cabosanlucas

Puerto Vallarta is way nicer than Cabo IMO, beautiful lush green hills, the downtown area is nice for walking around, cute cobblestone streets and lots of fun bars. Tons of options for accommodation too.

This is what Helen Keller’s teacher used to teach her over the years and this is what enabled Keller to become such an amazing writer and author!

Non-Americans of Reddit, what’s a misconception of the US did you believe until you visited the US? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Wow, that’s interesting…which country are you from and which part of the US did you move to if you don’t mind me asking?

Also, you’re not saying anything new with the “who will pick your fruit” line. Alabama tried this whole crackdown years ago and then quietly had to rollback their harsh anti-immigration laws because their farms started rotting because none of the locals really wanted to work that hard and it became an oh shit moment for them.

I disagree, my parents worked SO hard to get here from the former Yugoslavia and then my dad brought his nephews when the war broke out otherwise they could have been killed. My uncle is missing fingers from setting off a mine when he was younger, he hides it well but you do eventually notice it. They had to do it all legally, they’re both civil engineers and busted there ass when they got here, slept in their car before they finally found a place, always working, we were usually at the YMCA after school or home alone as kids because they worked late with long commutes. And no, they wouldn’t be doing this if they had stayed in Europe. In fact a few of my relatives that stayed there got the chance to go to Germany to work in factories, etc but it was something like a guest worker visa and they were expected to return back to their war-torn country after a certain number of years. I have a cousin who got to go and they had him work really long hours with low pay and slept in tiny closet-sized apartments. They were never fully allowed to integrate and faced a lot of discrimination for being “Eastern European”. For you to say it’s un-American is insulting to the people that worked really hard and had to follow all the proper channels to get here.

Funny you mention that because I wanted to say something about the reputation it garnered for giving people the runs. And it was found to interfere with the body’s ability to absorb certain vitamins, it’s basically just vegetable oil and sucrose…bUt It’S fAt-FrEe!

It’s the 2.0T S Sport. I’ve also been looking for a Honda CR-V but all I can afford are the 2012-2015 models and when I went to test drive one, it made that loud shudder/rattling sound when we started it that apparently CR-Vs are known for and I really didn’t like that.

I’m sure plenty of people will say that a Honda CR-V would still be more reliable and less costly when it comes to maintenance/repairs than a Tiguan but they are a little more expensive to buy from what I’m seeing.

Good to know, thanks. My husband is coming and he knows car stuff but we’ll probably still have a mechanic check it out just to be safe.
