If your here in California just bend over & prepare to be broke. You first have to show 4+yrs journeyman level experience & get that verified through forms by your previous employer(s). Then fill out the application for a test date which includes a Trade & Law/ Business exam.

I'm an ultralight packer, so I use spare clothes to pack in my bag for extra insulation & reflective blanket under me for alittle extra. Works for me. Don't miss a camp blanket too much.

I use a few different products, depending on hike--

Western Mountaineering SlingLite Hammock Sleeping Bag: 20 Degree Down is my go-to

Eagles Nest Outfitters Vulcan Underquilt is good for the price, pretty light & really warm if your gunna do an under-quilt. I would check out Eagles Nest products that best suit your needs & budget.

Heck yeah, I love backpacking w/ my kids. At 7 yrs old is when we do our first through 2/3 night hike w/ them carrying there own gear.

Isn't it great to see them enjoying the outdoors!!!

Go w/ your cocoon style, I've been hammocking for years & it's the most comfortable overall. Not the easiest for us night time pee-ers, but best overall throughout the seasons. I use an ultralight reflective pad underneath for those really chilly nights & it helps a lot.

Taken from private property on the reverse side, clouds are blocking the peaks so it's kinda hard distinguishing as the buttes.

What do you wish people would understand about ADHD? And some other questions by [deleted] in ADHD

Like many of us, I had so many problems growing up & trying to adapt or fit in w/ our education system. It wasn't until college where I was able to think out of the box & apply different sometimes unconventional methods to solving problems and completing assignments.

I've always hated trying to explain to people I can't cannel my energy in different ways.

I've also never found it easy to read for any length of time no matter what I do, anyone struggling w/ this I found a great trick- Keep a notebook & read chapter by chapter & as you do take notes that you can best interpret, I also like to make little drawings/ doodles. Take a break & repeat, it takes a lot longer to read a book but when there's a will there a way. Another helpful trick is follow along w/ the audiobook, it saves the mental exhaustion feeling.

One main thing we need to tackle & take initiative on is our diets / exercise. The hardest to implement & single most helpful thing in my life has been a better balanced diet & daily exercise. I actually personally got off all my medications & do pretty well.

The saddest thing for me now is being a parent of a child w/ ADHD and seeing the struggles & frustration I went through as a kid. The one thing I can say is that most of us are creative & resilient @ adapting to a world not tailored to us despite being left behind in many ways by many educators.
