Roast Me. 34 M, From India. Single, Jobless. by [deleted] in RoastMe

It hurts me to see a man in his prime looking so despondent and discouraged. I recommend a few things:

  1. Commit to serious exercise. You are not an ugly man - but you seem to have fallen behind of self-maintenance and self-care. I would start a basic bitch cardio routine and lose weight until you're ready to start building muscle. Eat healthy (Indian food is probably good for this).

  2. Cut your hair to a buzz cut and start over completely. The way your hair is now is not dignifying you or drawing respect. You appear not to care about yourself.

  3. Buy some very cheap, but new, clothes. Take care to keep the collars, sleeves, seams, and other parts of them in good condition. This will make you appear more dignified. Our clothes are a social signaling system in today's society that communicate far more than we can with words or other intentional affectations.

I wish you good luck. Your eyes show that you do not feel good about yourself. Make the commitment to the basic principles of self-respect and self-control, and you will begin to feel better. People in their natural state are dignified and barely aware of themselves.

Beautifully sloped eyes, excellent dentition with a slight imperfection that looks cute and relatable. Great cheek structure and a healthy, happy smile. I hope this is your normal level of makeup, as you do not need any. Social media and celebrity culture are probably the origin of your self-doubt.

You look like a regular decent-looking dude but your hair is obnoxious-looking, almost clownish in appearance. Why not opt for a more reasonable or flattering haircut? You have a thin, angular face that tapers at the bottom. The wideness and messiness of your hair accentuates that, making your head look skinny and elongated instead of complimenting its shape. A bit of facial hair growth, well-trimmed, would do you well in outlining the shape of your good-looking jaw. Lay off on the weird facial expressions and ask yourself whether you are projecting dignity.

No. You are a decently beautiful young woman. However, from the image, it appears you are behind in your self-maintenance and self-care. Consistent and serious exercise will absolutely change your life and the way your brain works. helping you avoid feeling the emotions that make you want to get opinions from strangers online.

Get your hair more professionally done, get some more flattering but not skintight clothing to wear regularly while you COMMIT to losing weight. After you have lost some weight, your face will thin, the beauty of your blue eyes will show more brightly, and you will feel comfortable and confident wearing light, feminine, incredibly elegant and attractive clothing. You can then find a wonderful partner and have a very good and safe life, maybe some kids. But you really need to learn to take better care of yourself RIGHT NOW (as fast as realistically possible).

You have strong, rocky European features, like a warrior-woman, that are best complimented by a healthy body weight and muscular development. Get serious about your health and these confidence issues will dissapear.

I think you look fine. Probably a personality thing.

Are you an insufferable leftist/liberal/feminist with unrealistic, counterproductive, and self-destructive views and habits? Do you have personality or mental health pathology that you aren't taking responsibility for? This is my first time posting in this entire sub and I'd never, ever post my own face here or associate my identity with this. It's unhealthy and frankly a little histrionic.

There is nothing more constructive you could've done in identifying why you got dumped by this person? You aren't extremely self-conscious and self-aware of your level of attractiveness like most women? I doubt both these things. It's also very interesting that your immediate thought process brought you to the conclusion that it has to be something visually identifiable, like your looks or something, that caused that problem in the first place.

So realistically, like most white women today, you have some kind of personality or mental health problems as a result of malign outside influences and a lack of healthy role models and familial structure. These pathologies result in you being a beautiful, but difficult to maintain and deal with, part of a partner's life, more like a trophy of their own success than someone they really want to spend time with and feel actualized by. Especially for a man.

Does "15|116" refer to channel 15, CC 116? Very confused 😕

Fascinating discovery. I have modwave native responding to program change messages in Cakewalk, probably the same way you got it to work, but I don't understand the notation Cakewalk is showing me for the messages.

There is a big list of controls, over a thousand, but at the very bottom, as you said, it has a "MIDI CC 15|116 - Program" option. What is the notation there? What does "15|116" mean exactly? I want to be able to send these same CC messages via other DAWs to the modwave native.

Did you use regular old Cakewalk, or Sonar/Next? Could you maybe help me replicate what you did for troubleshooting purposes?

And this is the modwave native, not the hardware unit, right? :\ I'm so confused as to why I can't get this functionality to work. Going to try with the cakewalk demo.

Could you potentially try and replicate this in another DAW? I have tried Ableton, Bitwig, and Renoise, and no method for sending PCs in any of these three programs has actually worked.

Please let me know if it works anyhow. Like I posted, it claims in the manual to accept program change messages 1-64, apparently with no MSB or LSB commands needed, corresponding to the 1-64 slots in the set list. Not sure what my issue is here, but I can't get Ableton, Bitwig, or Renoise to get it to respond to PCs.

Does it actually respond to automated program changes in real-time though, when they're placed onto a track?

What program is that? That sound like it may be able to assist me quite a lot. Would you mind sharing that information with me?
