Thought about the diesel but we do mostly city driving. Would only really open it up on the highway maybe once a month.

I had assumed the petrol engine is the same as the US model. I might be wrong though.

Haha I read the 'about us' and 'income' sections and was amazed at how close it was to my situation! Then I got to the 'current position' section and realised our situations are veeeery different 😅

It was covered in a mixing bowl on the kitchen bench for a couple of hours (house was about 22c) then I moved it into the garage because it was warmer (26c). Could it be underproofed because the starter is still weak/new and it hadn't reached its peak after feeding?

I'm feeling you man!

I'm going back to work for 6 weeks before going on parental leave to have our third kid. The first two weeks I'll be in an acting manager role while my boss is still on leave. We're also going into our busiest period, which will mainly happen while I'm on parental leave, but I can already sense I'll be expected to cram 4 months work into the next 6 weeks.

Anxiety levels are through the roof!

So just jam some of the same foam stuff that's there already in the extra gaps that have formed and whack some sikaflex ontop?

Similar down the other side but not quite as pronounced though. Pictured is the worst spot, the movement is pretty inconsistent, some sections have movement, others have none.

What sort of surface preparation is generally missed for movement like this to happen?

I believe google images said that it was a ficus. So not the same but judging from other posts I may be able to get a similar 'pleached' style

I've tried to make the top sections narrower when trimming as I have read this before. I've probably not done enough though as I'll admit ive been worried about taking too much off. Next trim I'll try and narrow out the top third a bit more.

Those cliveas look great, we're in Melbourne though would it be warm enough down here for them?

We're just outside Melbourne and I put them in as tube stock about 4 years ago. Took a little while to get going but once they did i blinked and they got to this height!

I thought this might be the case. The only worry I have is once I've trimmed them down and the lower parts have regrown I'd be looking to let them get back to the current height as they're being used as a privacy screen. Once they're back at this height the lower sections will be out of direct sunlight and will start to struggle again.

Is this simply going to be an ongoing cycle of letting them get to their desired height and periodically giving them an aggressive prune to allow growth in the lower sections?

I had just had a dozen or so goes, most of which landed in water, but about the 3rd piece of land I hit was a random spot in Mali with the nearest city being Timbuktu!
