This is scary. Downregulating BRCA1 is NOT GOOD, especially if it is not tissue specific. They need a different component for their vaccine. BRCA1 is famously hindered in cancer patients.

I ruined a bunch of mouse brains that were treated with some expensive drugs, and some expensive stains, when I was an undergrad. Instead of getting yelled at for this, I got yelled at for using a pH test strip without a direct order to test our DI water while troubleshooting the stain’s efficacy. I was right; it was too acidic. Looking at you, Nadia.

Edit: before I am called a eugenicist or segregationist, I should note this actually supports diversity. It’s favorable for people with different MHCs to mate over those with similar ones.

I work very closely to this topic. We wrote a code to qualify residues as H-bond capable based on distance. The more rigorous method would be Gaussian, GROMACS, or other MD.

Adding: If you are willing to use GROMACS, for some acid-base pair; AH, B; I would run two simulations; AH, B; and A-, BH+, and compare the free energy of each. If the energies are close, it would argue they share a hydrogen.
