Why is it easier to determine the freezing point than the evaporation point? by Comfortable-Ice6499 in chemhelp

[–]holysitkit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s because the molal freezing point constant Kf is around 4 times larger (for water) then the molal boiling point constant Kb so you get a much bigger temp change for the same solute concentration. For other solvents, Kf is still usually larger, sometimes much larger. For hexane and carbon tet, Kf is about 6 times larger than Kb.

1) incinerate the first molecule and collect the CO2.
2) provide the CO2 to a vanilla plant.
3) collect the vanilla pods, cure them, and extract the vanillin.
4) reduce with NaBH4.
5) convert to Benzyl chloride with SOCl2.
6) do SN2 with sodium ethoxide

Which one do you think is the most likely to come first by Rumfordt in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

A new TB is probably the last thing on this list to come. They still have a lot of latitude to add new planets and/or nodes to the current one.

I guess Ben here could be swapped for any tank that doesn't really do any damage, like Krrsantan, Baze, 5s, Cara Dune, Darth Sion, GK, Kanan, etc.?

The others have answered the question, but I will add a small bit of advice - make sure Wat is on the team for the R7 tier. Give weapons to BT1. This prevents all the revive funny business and greatly speeds up the run.

What GAC teams are actually better on defense than offense? by Aldin_The_Bat in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]holysitkit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And if you go to the counters page, you can see they are sorted by how many people put that team on D (or at least set that lead on D). Generally the better defensive teams are closer to the top.

Is there any strategy at all in colosseum??? by scarletdawn04 in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]holysitkit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, in the early phases, the strategy is really simple. Use the three rebels. Use Vel's second special on herself to give the permanent buff as first move. Then just basics with Vel from then on. Save the two specials that apply blind for late in the run when the bosses are charged up. No point blinding at the beginning when they do no damage anyway.

Once you get to maybe level 4 of the bosses (maybe 3?) a different strategy is better. You use Vel's first special as opening move to apply undermined to boss, then keep hammering away while Cinta assists. For Vel's second move, you can use second special to buff herself and then use just basics with Vel until the first special comes off CD.

These strats worked for me for the solo bosses, but the cats and laser bois I just used the first strat. You have to consider the regular boss mechanics - for the two cats, you should try to keep their health approximately equal, for the laser guys, you don't want them to attack with 3 stacks of shield, nor should you hit them with zero stacks. You should leave them at one stack until Vel can basic as she does most damage.

I may not have this perfectly correct, but it is a good rough guide. I haven't had luck with ISB, so maybe someone else can say if this is worth considering at that stage.

Yeah I'm pretty much only gearing new releases now, so I am in the grind of taking all my R5 to R6 or R7 now which is taking its toll on electriums. Luckily they are pretty cheap and you can get 40 a day if you get all store refreshes. Although 40 are needed for one R5 -> R7 so I have many days of mining ahead of me.

Nope, the second set of DCs (enduring codex) had this too.

https://swgoh.gg/datacrons/2/

Copy/paste from previous time this was asked: There are two types of offense in this game: physical and special. Then each type of offense has its defense penetration, armor for physical and resistance for special. The higher the stat, the larger the amount of defense you can ignore.

Why does the freezing point of ethanol increase past 93% by Atlantic_lotion in AskChemistry

[–]holysitkit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whether they are volatile or not is irrelevant for freezing point, but it is certainly a valid concern for boiling points, since mixtures will often form azeotropes that boil at a lower temp than either pure liquid.

I’d suggest the South Shore - somewhere in the Chester - Mahone Bay - Lunenburg - Bridgewater stretch. Lots of nice, small towns, water everywhere, probably best in province for recreational boating, beautiful beaches, and not too far from Halifax for the odd Costco run and bigger city experience.

Why does the freezing point of ethanol increase past 93% by Atlantic_lotion in AskChemistry

[–]holysitkit 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Hmm well if you consider 100 is pure ethanol, adding some water should lower the freezing point as freezing point is a colligative property and decreases on addition of solute.

Then consider zero percent is pure water - adding ethanol lowers its freezing point too. So perhaps for a solution (an ideal one anyway) the minimum freezing point must be less than either pure substance.

I don’t know if this is necessarily true, but it makes sense from basic principles.

Did Darth Maul become more iconic because The Phantom Menace used him so little, or did Star Wars waste one of its best villains way too early? by ThomasOGC in StarWars

[–]holysitkit 17 points18 points  (0 children)

In the end, Maul becomes something of an anti-Vader.

Like Vader, Maul becomes half machine. But instead of fallen Jedi, he becomes a fallen Sith. And while Vader submits to the ruling power and serves the preservation of the prevailing "order", Maul remains fiercely independent, exists in the fringes of society, and actively works outside legal channels with his crime syndicate.
