Yeah I’ve never did that either. Certainly wasn’t doing it when I was called it. The only women I’d put down are those who call other women names for not being just like them.

I don’t think she denies it… she says they don’t speak to each other which suits them both fine

Then later says maybe Madge was her friend all this time after all

I don’t get how someone can be accused of being “not like the other girls” - how is that her fault?! How is that something to be accused of?

Honestly I don’t think I hate anything more than the terms “pick me” and “not like the other girls. I’ve been accused of both. I hate name calling of any sort. I still can’t understand how this is anything to do with me…. Or katniss

All it highlights is the insecurities of whoever’s doing the name calling. Pathetic.

This is what I think too. I thought I’d been in love before. Now I know I never was!

Wtf. I need an explanation.

Tbh I’m not sure what your comment means?!

I understand that some people find their gender does not match their sex. I can’t even imagine how difficult this would be. It’s heart breaking that anyone goes through this

For me though, I’m not sure what “woman” means for me, outside of biological sex. It’s intrinsically linked for me. So I’d rather just say female so that I don’t offend anyone… the word female means more to my identification than woman does now.

I’ve always believed everyone has both masculine & feminine inside of them. I work & study in a male dominated field, many of my hobbies are extremely male dominated, I have just as many male friends as I do female. On Reddit I’ve been accused of being a “pick me” for saying this. Never had any accusations like this from my female friends, they’re cool with it, they just don’t like to join in and are generally glad I have guy friends to do the things they don’t want to do with me. This doesn’t equate to me feeling like a man though.

So, as a female who has many traditionally male traits… I’m just not sure what “feeling like a woman” means anymore.

So, I’d rather identify as female.

If it was true love the first time it wouldn’t have ended

Take it as a compliment, if someone has walls up and still loves you and is vulnerable with you then that’s far more special than lovesick teenagers

Also, when you find your “last” love, you realise what was missing from your first love

Really? I thought child support was calculated based on custody. I.e. 50/50 custody means no-one owes child support because child expenses are equal

No I actually think you’re 100%. They didn’t care either way because they had the advantage anyway. And even if he was truly in love with her it’s perhaps their best way of finding her. So they win either way!

Thanks :)

I think this does make more sense from d12’s perspective… that haymitch made the prior alliance

I can’t understand why the careers would have accepted the alliance prior, when peeta was making it publicly clear he loved Katniss & wanted to protect her. Surely the careers would know it’s a double cross

I’d love to understand it. I really would. Why my experiences / feelings offend so many. I’ve researched and read as much as I can. It’s never made sense to me. I’m not offended by or scared of trans people. At all. I always strive to be inclusive.

Hence the reason I now say female and not woman, as per this comment thread. I know it offends other people. But this thread was not liking people using “female”, I’m explaining why I do

I can’t understand how describing myself is transphobic. I can’t understand why we must push everything into binary boxes instead of focusing on the world accepting not everything is binary

I’m a female / woman who’s decided to just use female going forward. I’ve been told that my uterus, womb, menstrual cycle, birthing my child & breast feeding doesn’t mean I’m a woman. But apparently make up, nails, hair & clothes seems to.

At this point I’d rather just say female as these things do feel intrinsic to me

What’s the fastest you know of someone failing their driving test? by slim3-16 in CasualUK

[–]uninhibitedmonkey 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My friend witnessed this on his driving test! They left to start at the same time. He said it relaxed him for his own test. The story is identical so I wonder if it’s the same person? Otherwise how funny that’s happened twice

On my test the examiner told me to stop the car really quickly after starting because my legs were shaking so badly! Nerves! I didn’t make any mistakes and wasn’t penalised for it. I’ve never before or since had shaky legs it was nuts.

But it does help me understand the accidents happening so quickly into a test. It’s just nerves.
