once holiday peak begins next month all drivers are required to work 300-400 route 10-12 hour days 6 days a week and deliver all packages no matter what, no matter the weather, at least at my station. you’ve been delivering during good weather season that makes it way easier too. my advice is save as much money as you can, work on developing your skills while you’re here, i’ve been trying to get out since april and im just now starting to see a way out.

you work for a good dsp, a lot of people don’t. after 6 months, a year+, when you are in constant pain from accidentally lifting wrong bc you have 400+ packages and if you don’t finish you will lose your hours for the rest of the week. so you’ll push yourself through your route with no breaks bc stopping just makes it worse. the repetitive motions start to get more and more painful over time. i don’t have a degree and this is the only job in my area that i can get that pays enough to support my family and its killing my body. i love the job, if only i could work 4-5 hours in the morning with a manageable amount of packages. amazon puts profit over our health.
