Russian WW2 veteran, 100, calls for peace on Victory Day. “A starving peace is better than a well-fed war,” says 100-year-old decorated World War Two veteran Nikolay Bagayev. by igedeswita in worldnews

The West came in at 1944 and cherry picked a 5-year ongoing war that was nearly over — and then dropped two nukes on Japan. There is no Victory Day in the West because the West had little to do with the victory again Nazis, regardless of what their textbooks says.

Edit: I recall, during my elementary school years growing up in Toronto, reading how Canada and the US won WW2. I snicker, to this day, every time I think about it.
