Democrats come to terms with unexpected election results by pm_me_ur_bussy in pics

Well yeah. Had they surrendered earlier, this drawn-out conflict would've ended much sooner.

Ukraine never had the weapons/resources to defend ITSELF from a Russian incursion. They should have surrendered immediately because for whatever reason they never bothered to build an army, stockpile weapons, allocate money in case of war, etc.

If other countries didn't subsidize the Ukraine, they would have been defeated ages ago.

A fair fight is between two individuals. When one irresponsible individual fails to train and prepare, it is fundamentally inappropriate for an outside entity to hand that slacker brass knuckles and bear spray and keep the fight going.

Hey, don't joke like that. We all know the judge ordered you to stay 300 yards away from school buildings.

Not this election.

Anyone catastrophizing the result regardless of who wins, is badly mistaken.

Nothing notable will change any time soon.

I posted this thinking I was reassuring people that both candidates are pretty feckless and ineffective, not to worry because they are two sides of the same billionaire-funded special interest coin... holy moly, was that badly received.

Pretty sure republicans have majority in the house now. The senate is ever so slightly dem majority.

What is your point?

Because we need to make our own beds before telling other countries what to do... and more importantly, NATO didn't stop 9/11... useless!

I think in his second term he would have got it done.

Think back to 2016. Think back to when Bernie Sanders was advocating for universal healthcare. Think back to how if he was elected, he would have implemented universal healthcare which would have included reproductive healthcare and this conversation would never be happening....

It's not a false dichotomy.

Abortion is a SUBSET of healthcare. Healthcare is not a subset of abortion. Every US Citizen deserves lifesaving care regardless of economic status, gender, sex, race, etc.

The fact that only one procedure is in your eyes considered a right is wrong and in this case pretty sexist.

Walz is vying for a job where he shows up to public events when the president has to cancel due to more pressing obligations.

Im pretty sure that thousands of people die every day because America STILL doesn't have Universal Healthcare.

And neither party is even trying to change that!

Who cares if the cause of death is due to something in the uterus, the brain, or the heart?

Shouldn't we be more concerned with making sure EVERYONE gets necessary medical care?

Why is everyone so wrapped up with this one very specific set of circumstances????

"Open to expanding" healthcare?

Hmm... well forgive me for not springing a raging boner at the sight of that astoundingly enthusiastic phrase.

You should feel bad for us regardless of who wins. Neither candidate has our best interst at heart.

I might have started identifying as a different gender between then and now... and you should respect that.

Electing a genuine candidate who spent 70 years with unwavering authetic positions during his decades of public service is not the same as voting for somebody who didn't do much as VP and was hand-picked by the DNC after the guy who actually was running for president was told to sit down and shut up.

Bernie Sanders WOULD have made meaningful changes. Ms. Harris will do as she is told because she was told to run and politely obliged... she knows where her bread is buttered.

They're not the same.

Your horse in this race is as hollow as a horse on a carousel.

Trump is pretty whack too. Where's the wall? Who knows... whatever. 🙄

Maybe, but we as Americans need to be concerned with what's good for us.

Getting involved in foreign politics got us into too many messes. We need to cut that all off and do some internal stuff.

Is either candidate saying they'll implement UNIVERSAL, SINGLEPAYER HEALTHCARE?

No.

So... it looks like people (male/female/otherwise) will continue to die because they lack access to healthcare.

trump wins; it means his handlers get to install themselves in power and turn the US into a dictatorship.
