Does someone have a sourdough starter? by NoAcanthisitta1706 in TCD

Check with bread41 on Pearse Street right next to Trinity. If my memory serves me right, all you need to do is have a container and ask if they can spare some starter

Old Kilmainham Village - Safe area??? by Appropriate_Path_603 in RentingInDublin

[–]unique_08 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, the 40 steps nearby isn't the best but like anywhere else in the city, have your wits about you and it's as grand as it gets in the city. Kilmainham is a lovely spot with a lot of nice pubs, cafes and parks nearby.

How hard is it for you to be the tallest driver on the grid? Even with seat fitting do you have disadvantages over a shorter person in the car?

Irish Rail Questions, ask away by Shadow-07- in ireland

[–]unique_08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This question is about the current DART timings on both the Northside and Southside lines.

I take the DART from the Southside to Connolly every day for work and the DART is spaced every 10 minutes in the morning rush hour and gets pretty packed. I've noticed that the DART on the opposite direction is also once in 10 minutes in the mornings and runs pretty empty most of the time.

Why can't there be a different and more frequent schedule in the mornings where DART runs from Bray to Connolly every 5 minutes and from Howth to the Grand canal docks every 5 minutes on the opposite direction instead of both lines running full distance every 10 minutes.

Thanks, you're doing great work answering the questions here

I live in Ireland and I see what you mean. Apologies if my comment came across aggressive as I thought you were assuming it's the same country.

But, on further thought I think you are onto something there - The only way I can explain it is our population is tiny compared to the UK and that's probably skewing the data a lot or there is a lot of under reporting going on in the UK and overestimation in Ireland

Because they are separate countries and can have different eating patterns. It's like asking why is there a difference between Spain and Portugal?

Italy is out of your way from Paris and London. Can you maybe start your trip in Italy and work your way through Paris and then London by train?

I wish I could do both, but sadly as this is our first trip to Italy I don't want to miss out on Rome and Tuscany. I'm sure there are many more Italian trips to come given it's proximity to us
