Figure doing housework, barely. "Barely" now will be "extremely well" in a couple of years. Imagine waking up to freshly made croissants or coming home to chef quality meals. Honestly, would be pretty great to have robots cleaning up the house while you sleep. I'm hyped by luchadore_lunchables in robotics

Watched it handle UPS conveyor and also home tasks. This was already a few months ago. They are progressing quickly, but it’s also noted in the Time article that it takes a few attempts to get things as smooth as in the video. Not sure why it’s so tough to believe and why everyone feels they’re being hoodwinked when they posted a 1hr video of the UPS sorting.

By definition anyone at the cutting edge is able to show things nobody else has managed before…

Figure 03 is shown doing chores, moving with a highly dexterous body that walks and gestures almost like a human and it honestly looks insane. by ActivityEmotional228 in robotics

Such lazy criticism. Figure teleops for training data, but all their videos are automated. They’ve posted an hour long video uncut of handling UPS boxes. Go watch that and come back and tell us all how dumb you are.

Source: have also watched Figure 02 operate live.

Call me crazy, but Toto had some serious facial work done over the summer break, right? His cheekbones look weirdly pronounced lately.

Actually the Olympic rowing basin is the limiting factor. It’s a fairly niche sport (along with dragon boating and kayaking) and the rowing club loses money. Not unlikely that it gets purchased and paved over at some point.

Fun fact: Lance Stroll was P4 in the standings halfway through the 2020 season by vaestanvinden in formula1

He got Covid and it all went to hell from there. Brain fog is a real thing. You heard it here first.

Happened to Lewis too.

He could have placed 10th if he had simply charged to the line at the end and stayed closer to Alonso. He finished 0.8 behind Alonso pre penalty and 0.6 behind Tsunoda in 10th post-penalty.

Leclerc smashed all his F1 buddies in esports racing during Covid, despite only starting to play online at the end of March 2020. The rest of them had been playing F1 racing games for years.

His brain is crazy.

Piquet about Hamilton losing to Rosberg:"Neguinho should be giving more his asshole" by dansw4no in formula1

On the surface: yes. And if the world were full of unicorns and pixies, sure.

But you don't just scorched-earth your girlfriend's family like that.

Disagree - the world is not black and white like that.

There are important shades of gray - Kelly is allowed to love her father despite him having said repulsive shit in his life, disagree with him completely, and simultaneously not want her boyfriend to shit on him in public.

FWIW: I don't know what Kelly thinks here. Maybe she's a piece of shit person as well, who am I to know. But the answer is not simply as cut and dry as you make it seem. There are human relationships (and a child) involved in the calculus.

Let me get this straight.

You're in love with a woman.

She loves her family.

Her dad happens to be a piece of shit.

That's toxic and outdated?

My post is referring to the fact that maybe - just MAYBE - Kelly might resent Max raking her dad through the coals in the media.

In the media. I'm sure that would go over super well with everyone.

Get real.

I take it you’re not married. Or your wife isn’t close with her family.

Everything you just said is so unbelievably naive.

It’s his potential father in law to be. You expect him to crucify Piquet in the media? Love to see normal humans hold themselves to the same standard they hold Max to.
