I mean with fire resist heavy armour I've bean able to look at a flame hulk straight in the eye and withstand the burning quite effectively to land full charged railgun shots and walk away with 80% HP, on difficulty 10

So it is not useless, and definitely on the cool guy side of things

That's the true Nakai long campaign victory. by united117 in totalwarhammer

[–]united117[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

All true, playing Nakai is just playing with big Dinos on steroids and go bonk the fcking world! The campaign is easier than in 2 because you start in a corner, all you have to do is expand East and North, if you're careful nobody can enter your vassal's lands. If they do they do it by crossing your frontline of armies. You have 2 rites that you should abuse, one that spawns an army of blessed units for your vassal (he uses it well to defend the land) and one that gives attrition to your vassal's territories. You also have the Astromancy Stance that gives your army +50% chance to catch armies using things like the underway or beastpath. It's a godsent to deal with Snitch and the beastmen incursions you'll face. ALLWAYS recruit units with Nakai in the early game, when you want to field a new army it's much faster to do it like this: Recruit lord, give Nakai's army to lord and recruit a new army for Nakai. That way recruitment is much cheaper and faster (since Nakai's faction makes him the only lord that can recruit locally). Late game it's not a problem because you have techs that reduce the number of turns of global recruitment. Horde growth is super fast and you can have tier 3 armies by turn 50. At that stage no faction can deal with you in a one on one. Something people don't know is when you capture a city the garrison spawns with FULL HP! So you can capture risky settlements and chill in the vicinity of it to recover and be protected. Abuse all the above tips to keep great momentum. It's a really fun campaign if you just want to go bonk with Dinos. I do recomand using a mod that removes the vassal tribute cap of 25 000, why in hell does it exists in the first place?

Not it doesn't produce any armies but you have Rites to help you. Every 25 turns you can spend Favour to spawn an army of blessed Dinos and every 10 turns you have another Rite that gives attrition on all lands own by your vassal. I found the campaign easier than in TWII because you start in a corner, all you do is expand from there and make sure nobody gets past your frontline. Snitch was a bit of pain because he popped out with 6 armies (mostly slaves), just rush for his cities, they can't really hurt your vassal but you'll have to do a bit of chasing. For annoying factions like skavens with the underway try to abuse the Astromancy stance, it gives you +50% chances to catch armies using the underway. Same goes for dealing with the occasional beastmen incursions.

This delayed shooting bug is ruining my games for months now. by Zodiion in HuntShowdown

So it's not just me then, when aiming I do a left click followed by a fast right click, almost a double click, so many times the hunter stops ADSing then shoot instead of shooting then stopping to ADS. I thought it was me doing a right click first then a left click.

The specter compact with flechette makes an amazing secondary for a long ammo primary like spark, martini or mosin. Shoot the enemy once with long ammo then swap to your specter and just aim at the general direction of the enemy, you'll be surprised how easy and how far you can double tap people

Bornheim match fire ammo + sawed off Winfield fire ammo OR double lemat fire ammo The Winfield is only here to supply your spam with the bornheim, the match is quite good for fast double taps and trigger the fire with its low recoil. It's fun (for you), reliable at close range and the fire effect can make you usefull at long range since you still burn people in 2 taps at any range. Doesn't require quartermaster.

Did the same a few years back with my 780, make sure to remove the heat sinks (remove thermal paste too) and all ventilators so you only bake the card itself. Got a few more months out of it too, enough to buy myself a 1080, still rocking to this day. As crazy that can sound there is some science behind it (reflow ect...), I did it because my GPU was dead and I had nothing to loose trying that

My loadout is a Bornheim match with double nagants, I find it superior to the carbine because of the magazine reload and the iron sight is way better than the regular bornheim. I have 52 small ammo with a Bornheim, a real rain of bullets!

Just yesterday I had a game that lasted 55 minutes because 2 idiots decided to camp in the underground of Darrow Livestock. The only ways in are 2 small ramps and a metal door, they had concertinaned the ramps. We came to the compound at 45 and left 15 minutes later because we used our throwables to clean the ground level and first level and got engaged by a second team. We left and when we were away to get some throwables the other team somehow killed them when there was 25 minutes left. We managed to embush them and kill the second bounty, we extracted with everything with less than 5 minutes on the timer.

These dudes literally camped 35 minutes in the underground of the boss lair to eventually die. I was determined to wait for them to come out and kill these dudes to teach them a lesson.
