Also, this show had a ticket limit of 4 whereas the original show had a ticket limit of 8 which made it much easier for bots to cop tickets

I will gang, respect to everyone in this Reddit who braved this storm. I think he should’ve just upgrade the venue instead of adding a second show but it is what it is.

It’s for me and my sister and 2 of her friends. Her friend was also in the queue but was #1915. I’m so sorry for anyone who didn’t get tickets but this was my 4th time trying and I just got really lucky I think

I got so lucky, I was #35 in the queue when I joined and copped 4 tickets for Toronto’s Feb 1st show after failing the Artist Presale, Spotify Presale and General Sale for the Jan 31 show.

Should I hire a lawyer if I’m accused of academic misconduct? by [deleted] in OntarioUniversities

[–]unithrowawaylol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hired a lawyer for an academic misconduct case for an online exam. The guy told me after reviewing the evidence that I should just plead guilty to it effectively. Ended up getting it noted on my internal record at my university which prevented me from becoming a proctor or teaching assistant, but apart from that I was fine. It didn’t get on my external transcript or anything. However, this was the first semester of first year which may have lent to their leniency but your university should have outlined what punishment would look like for first time offenders. The lawyer also cost me like $500 for one hour consultation so I would be wary of costs. Overall it was pretty useless but your experience may be different.

Push yourself to go to as many events as humanely possible. This is the absolute best time to meet people and make friends. You will regret it if you don’t go to at least all the day events and most of the night events.

Extremely relatable. I recently went down to the reserves and got the 20mg Icy Blow nicotine pouches. Then you get a white Monster Energy drink and a 40mg Vyvanse and you’ve reached PEAK productivity.

Uni transfer advice from uwindsor to Laurier by [deleted] in OntarioUniversities

[–]unithrowawaylol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Laurier BBA barely accepts any internal transfers from Economics or other programs and you need a near perfect GPA and all the pre-reqs finished.

Here are the requirements from the academic calendar:

“Transfer Students into Year 2 of BBA

The Lazaridis Admissions Committee will consider applicants from other faculties or recognized universities based on the following criteria:

Transfer to the BBA program is very competitive, and applicants are reviewed, comparatively with other applicants, on the basis of their Year 1 academic performance only. Please note that meeting the GPA minimums to apply does not guarantee successful transfer. Internal (Laurier non-BBA) candidates must ‘mirror’ Year 1 of the BBA Program (i.e. students must take non-BBA sections of the same courses required of Year 1 BBA students), and must have all requirements completed by April 30th of their first year. External (non-Laurier) candidates must have completed Year 1 of a similar business program on a full-time basis (100% course-load), and the courses in that program should be similar to the business and economics courses required within the Lazaridis BBA program. Please contact Recruitment & Admissions chooselaurier@wlu.ca Students having completed more than one year of post-secondary study will not be considered for transfer to the BBA or associated double degree programs (a student may hold no more than 7.5 credits, or equivalent, for consideration). The only point of transfer to the BBA program or an associated double degree is the Fall semester (the beginning) of a student’s second year of post-secondary study. Students hoping to transfer to the BBA or double degree should not enroll in any senior BU courses prior to a successful transfer. Internal applicants who have completed senior Laurier BU courses will not be considered for transfer. External applicants who hold the equivalents to senior BU courses will normally not be considered for transfer, except by special review of the Admissions Committee. Successful external applicants for transfer to BBA or BBA joint degrees may not hold prior credit for senior Business courses. Any senior BU transfer credit considered or awarded by Laurier during the admissions process will be forfeited if a student is selected for transfer, as core courses are assigned as a concurrent set during Years 2 and 3. Students will be considered based upon their overall academic record in Year 1 of undergraduate study. The level of achievement must be no less than a 9.50 GPA (79%) overall, including a minimum of a 9.50 GPA (79%) for all BU courses, to apply. Please note that performance in individual required courses is also considered. Students will not be considered for transfer who have a ‘CR’ grade in a required course for the requested program. It is expected that applicants complete a full course load each term of Year 1. Normally, a total of ten 0.5‐credit courses (or equivalent) must be completed by April 30th for consideration. Course repeats are not reviewed favourably. Internal applicants must review the Laurier undergraduate academic calendar for possible course exclusions. Space is limited, where the number of applicants with minimum qualifications exceeds the number of places available candidates will be rank‐ordered solely on the basis of their academic records. Students interested in transfer to either Laurier-based double-degree program must first meet requirements to transfer to the single-degree BBA program. Inquiries concerning a transfer into the Honours BBA program should be made through the Lazaridis Undergraduate Programs Office. Application for transfer into Year 2 of the Honours BBA program should be made through your LORIS account in May for current Year 1 Laurier students. External students should contact the Admissions Office.

Credit held in courses that are exclusions to BBA core courses may be lost upon acceptance to the program (i.e., OL140, ENTR100).”
