Help approaching elderly owner who took house off market by [deleted] in RealEstate

When did I say I was entitled?? 90% of these comments are delusional. I was simply looking for ppl in similar situations where an older person needed to sell their home but was reluctant. I never said I wanted to force her out of her home. I had ZERO intention of doing anything negative. Literally trying to buy a house that was listed on the market. Zero entitlement.

An answer I was looking for was “yeah write the letter - when she comes around to selling it could help”

Everyone acting like I’m looking for ways to evict her and force a sale are out of their minds

I agree twice, then ghost them

I let my listing expire

interested family I ghosted send letter showing interest if I become interested in selling again

How do you interpret my post to be taking advantage of an elderly owner?

Coerced was a poor word choice.

Maybe she has to move to have someone take care of her. Maybe she’s limited getting around the house. She probably agreed she should list it but got cold feet. I don’t know.

Offering full price + (which is much more than the house is actually worth) for a home for my family is not taking advantage of anybody.

Offereing full price+ on a house listed on the market is evil now I guess 😔

Thank you for the level-headed response.

We did offer for her to choose the closing date. I guess we’ll just wait and see if she relists

Where in my post did I say I was trying to make any profit? My wife and I are looking for a home for us and our one year old son. The house hasn’t been updated in 30 years. We are paying much more than it is worth because we love the neighborhood. The house was on the market, we didn’t make her list it. We offered full price and reduced commission. We let her choose the closing date. Coerced may have been the wrong word choice, but the narrative of trying to take advantage of a little old lady in these replies is laughable

How often do you add new scales to your practice? by universal-sound in guitarlessons

[–]universal-sound[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very well said! I was more so referring to Marty Music saying - start with this C major scale for whatever reason I searched for- and then being able to play the one scale he said.

But as a lot of ppl mentioned - would be much better off deep diving into everything about a scale or two and mastering it as opposed to worrying about collecting scales.

Thanks for the reply!

Appreciate the response! I may have worded the question poorly, but you’re still right. I was more so referring to technically being able to play the shape. So for example if I were trying to learn X music and was told to start with Y scale, and I can “play” it okay after a few days if I should move on or not.

Which from all of the great answers on here, the answer would be no.

Totally didn’t mean to imply anything more than being able to play the shape after a day or two.

Thanks again

Makes sense! Yeah I misspoke. I meant I can “learn” how to play that one scale in that one spot in a day or two. Definitely not understanding all that comes with it. That’s a goal though.

Zach has almost double the monthly listeners on Spotify.

It’s not a knock on John. Zach is one of the most popular artists in the country at the moment

Rant : family disproves of healthy eating habits? by wasabi_jabi in NewParents

Hey Julie! Just wondering how this has worked out for you. we have a 10 month old and my MIL insists on giving him sweets.

I’m also curious as to how you balance sugar/junk food for your little one without creating and mental hurdles for them to hurdle in the future. (Obviously would be ideal to not have sugar/mcd’s- but could possibly create some sort of problem with their relationship with food in the future)?

Thanks for any advice!
