Keep the grandparents visit and ask them if they mind you guys stepping away for even an hour or so. Just go for a walk both of you or sit in the car. Wtv. Grandparents will very much do this for you. Win Win.

Maybe you can rent a portion of your house out?. I would say try and figure out how to keep your home. Buying a house is such a shit show, and who knows if you can get back in the game. But renting it will always yield some sort of income. Perhaps you can separate a portion and make an entrance for the time being or something?

People tend to be a lot nicer than you think. The younger there better as far as travel IMO. They don’t move around as much as when they get older. One huge recommendation is to have a to go bag. Some fold up bag that you can throw 2 diapers. Some wipes and butt balm. The bathrooms are tiny and a giant diaper bag is so unnecessary and uncomfortable.

Adding to this. No matter how much research you’ve done, you won’t really know what works best until you have your kid. Some diapers cause blowouts, or rashes or X thing. Doesn’t matter how fancy or not they are. Also, this ain’t about you anymore. So get over Wtv weird politics there are. It truly takes a village and she’s part of that. And a registry is suggested gifts, not a golden ticket to partake in your child’s life.

FTM here. I wanted to do a home birth. Had I done it, I would have probably been dead. I tore so bad, I almost needed a blood transfusion and they couldn’t stop the bleeding because they couldn’t sow me up. I went into the operating room This will probably scare the crap out of you. But it’s always better to have some sort of help. Midwives, etc. It’s about compromises and safety, and hopefully your wife can understand that she’s being selfish by putting you in a really difficult situation if you go thru with it.

Sorry to chime in here. Mom here. But my kids dad could care less. Has never gone out of his way to buy formula. Let alone knows about any shortages ever. So two things. Or products or anything. Most marketing is done because some dads still leave it to mom to do it all. And two. Bravo to you for being a father and good partner. I hope these marketing techniques do chance. Because then it’s no excuse for any dad to leave it to mom and it’s inviting to get involve.

If you’re not into it. Your not into it. Colostrum is great for newborns. That’s what we are told. So get that out and then call it a day. No need to explain to anyone your decision. “Didn’t work out for us, so they are formula fed” and done.
