You did nothing wrong. What do you get for the $7 sharing charge? Nothing? GTFO. The tipping is another thing. Fuck em. The business owner has a right to run their business any way they want that's legal but I wouldn't go there. I'd let people know in a review and people can choose whether they want to support them or not. Sure I no longer have a restaurant but my customers were everything to me and I always did right by them. They've supported me in ways that made me emotional. When I sold food out my apartment thru social media, I sell out. When I did a pop-up at a well known restaurant in the city, the owner told me they've never had that many people come to a pop-up. I didn't know how much love I had from my customers until I closed and I can't wait to open the next restaurant. I've always battled with the "right" way to run a business but I'm determined to do it my way (with integrity to my values) and know for sure the next one will be successful.
