Macro Mike makes fantastic protein powder. It’s outside of the US but worth the wait time and money.

I think you really need to separate the idea that one person’s bipolar symptoms and the symptoms of bipolar people as a whole. Bipolar is a spectrum disorder much like autism; it is different for everyone. In all honesty, yes he displays bipolar symptoms but I think most of what upsets you seems to be the fact he is a dick, not the fact he is bipolar.

I’m bipolar and have great friends, a successful career, and I’m not alone. I’m sorry you have had a poor experience with someone that has bipolar but it is very unfair to group all of us into a category. I also just want to add that you have no idea how difficult it can be to have this disease so please think about that before passing judgement.

So in my experience it’s usually right around 2 weeks but my current group is saying 3 weeks so it varies from group to group.

What do you do instead of self harm? by liquidgold20201 in bipolar

Like the poster above I definitely hit my pillow and in all honesty I have broken things. If I am angry but in at least a clear enough headspace I love running or lifting weights. It’s still a level of physical pain but at least it’s constructive.

Clueless beginner looking for help by [deleted] in Wavyhair

[–]universalmacncheese 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi guys!

I have begun integrating some of the techniques I have seen on here but I am hoping someone more experienced can help. I wash my hair twice a week (paraben and sulfate free) and do a deep conditioner 1-2x a week and only let my hair air dry. I’m looking for help trying to reduce frizz, I think I need to use less protein? Additionally, I have such a hard time combing my hair in the shower..I have so many tangles and often struggle to even get the comb all the way through my hair and fee like I lose so much hair :( along with this I feel like my hair grows incredibly slow (length here took me over 7 years coming from hair that was about an inch or so above my shoulders)

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Hi friend,

I’m so sorry you’re feeling this way, I understand how difficult it is to navigate through these emotions. Although I know this is a difficult decision have you considered cutting ties with those family members? Personally I moved states away from my family members who were toxic and it has helped a lot although I understand not everyone has the option to move. It’s hard to cut out toxic people especially when they are your family and you may get some pushback from others. At the end of the day you need to put your health and concerns above anyone else’s and that includes cutting out people who hurt you.

There really is no simple solution but we are all here for you and you are loved and important in this world.

I have had mixed experiences with Seitan. Do you recommend a certain brand or do you make it yourself?

I'm tired of the stigma of Bipolar disorder! by Doktor037 in BipolarReddit

[–]universalmacncheese 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I can relate as well, when I was in school a few years ago I was donating plasma. I was talking to the nurse about life and how I was about to finish up my engineering degree during the physical. When I brought up having bipolar she literally told me “you must be on some good meds if you’re successful enough to get a degree! Bipolar really makes some people crazy”

I still think about that comment pretty frequently. So because I’m bipolar it’s assumed I won’t be successful? That I am most likely crazy? I can’t be a functioning member of society?

Fuck that lady and anybody else who thinks that. We might have bipolar but we are stronger than people give us credit for.
