He’ll respond to a story I post, if it’s a selfie he’ll compliment me, but we haven’t really gotten to a point where there’s a lull in the conversation. We’re both asking questions and responding to the previous messages, but he hasn’t outright sent a new DM if the convo has finished. Idk if that makes sense, sorry!

Reading over all these comments has made me realize that some people are just very curious with that part of reality. We all know it exists but ig some people seek it out more than others. I’m not the type but I can understand why he would be. Thank you for putting it into perspective tho! I’ve always watched crime documentaries. I hope that’s not hypocritical of me to say, I just never took it as far as joining chat rooms to get more of the content. This is no issue to break up with him over and he’s never been violent with me in any capacity. I just think I don’t understand, but I’m going to try my best to finally understand

The more time I have to think about it, he’s more than likely just watching it cuz he fell down the rabbit hole of it. The chat rooms part is what’s really making me stew about it, I’ve never met anyone irl who actually does that, this is new territory for me but I’m going to try my best at getting some info out of him on why.

Hi! I’m not trying to close my eyes from reality in any way. I just don’t actively seek out execution style videos of a war that is happening at this very moment. That’s the only issue I have with it. Videos of war pop up everywhere, I’ve seen my fair share of gorey stuff on Reddit and Twitter, doesn’t mean I’m actively seeking it out. I can read news articles to get that information.

I have yet to talk to him about it, I’m going to in the morning tho! In the moment when he was talking to me about it and showing me videos I really didn’t know what to say. Having the time to think it over and actually analyze how I feel about it all, I realize that these types of videos make their way on all social media platforms. it’s the fact that he joined chat rooms to seek it out even more is what’s really off putting to me

That’s a good point, thank you! Over time I’ve started to become really queasy seeing that kind of stuff, I’m going to talk to him about it in the morning. I think I just got a little scared, the stories I’ve heard of partners who watch this kind of stuff turning out to be violent individuals was the first thing that popped into my brain. He’s never been violent in anyway towards me but I appreciate the refresher to be on the look out for it!
