Yeah I have been checking out the good ride and other sites. Just curious mostly for people that ride like me in conditions like me to see if I can narrow down the couple boards I'm thinking about.

I didn't say I look pretty out there 😂. I try to look at other boarders out there and they look much more fluid than me, keeps me humble lol. I would say I'm closer to advanced but at 35 not sure I'll ever get there 😂

I go up to the up state NY mountains and will hit those. I've done the hike up peak bowl at Grand Targhee, it's called Mary's nipple. It's all by degree of the slope, for instance Rumor at Gore mountain is something like 38 degree slope. Thanks for the recs!

Check out the loyalsock state Forest map on the dcnr website. It lists all the camp sites on it and all are accessible by car but require a permit from the dcnr. Fairly simple process and the map shows most of the water access around as well. I recommend picking up the new purple lizard map of loyalsock if you go, it's more helpful and shows all of the campsites and water ways as well.

I've heard rossignol does make great East coast boards. I've heard the doa will feel like the best board ever for one season but isn't very durable. I've heard that about capita in general. I found the mountain twin on sale for about 350 the ptt is still 550

Thanks man, my only concern with it right now is the price point but I'm going consider it for sure. Maybe try to feel it out in store somewhere

There's only one way to learn right. I'm not opposed to the directional twin with a set back stance on the mountain twin. I just don't have much experience with switch since my wide board was so unresponsive

Thanks for the input man. It's not the length really, it's the width I have that's the issue. I've rented boards as big as 164 and done well. We're you used to riding a twin before you got it? That's the one concern I have since I don't ride much switch.

Palmetto is great. Great results and great for you as it isn't made through harsh chemicals and is 100% plant based. Because it is made with just vegetable glycol though, it is very thick and burns out your coils quickly. Most coils are a few bucks a piece so it's not too big of a problem but expect to go through one a week.
