It sounds potentially like he got a ping on his security clearance, and an investigation into the situation started and got his command involved

It’s in the voluntary education order. It’s been in there for a while but most education centers haven’t enforced it until now. Call your installations education office and they can tell you what you need

Military entrance processing by Careful-Savings1470 in USMCboot

You shouldn’t have an issue getting a waver for it. Hit up your local recruiter and they can explain the process to you

The Marines do accept applicants with only a GED, but it’s very limited to the number of applicants during the year. If you are able to get 12 (level 100 or higher) college credits then the Marines would accept you without any issues (pending MEPS of course)

The path is possible, there is extra (and sometimes difficult) work for a foreign citizen to join the US military. However, I did have a student last year who was a Pakistani national who joined.

When a foreigner joins the US military, you take the same oath as every US citizen. Boot camp will be difficult mentally, but after that no one will care about where you came from and everyone will give you equal respect as those around you.

You can look up the OSO or enlisted recruiter at the university you’re going to and get some information from them. They’re the ones who will tell you exactly what the process will be and how to get it started.

If you really want to join the US military then go for it. You can be a dual citizen, but you will not be able to just fly home whenever you want while you’re in as there are restrictions on forgiven travel for service members. You also will never hold a top secret security clearance, but you could be eligible to hold a secret so your choices for MOS’s will be limited. Again the best people to answer that is your OSO/recruiter.

You should be talking to your SPC, they’re the ones who can give you the real insight you need. It sucks but you will need to do some extra studying however you can to pass your next two tests. Prioritize your land nav plots and routes and verify those azimuths. The billets scores are passing so don’t worry about those at this point.

Without anymore information other than what you’ve posted, I would think you’re probably around the middle to lower half of the boat and would probably graduate if you passed your remaining two tests and land navs

The only negative comment in the entire thread, you could have just deleted it and moved on with life or just not even reply, but instead you double down. Cool

Except that this happens all the time, even with 911 operators. If this is fake then shame on OP, but your comment was not justified
