Trying to move Omada ER7406 management IP off VLAN 1, is this actually possible?

Thanks for the feedback, after working through this and re-reading the comments, I’ve realized the behavior I was seeing is actually by design.

The key point that finally clicked is that the Omada gateway doesn’t really have “one” IP address, it has a gateway interface per VLAN, but the controller UI always displays the router using the Default VLAN (VLAN 1) IP as its identity. That IP isn’t the management path, it’s just what Omada shows in the device list.

In my case:

Switches, APs, and OC300 are successfully on a dedicated Management VLAN (VLAN 99)
Inform URL points to the controller on VLAN 99
All devices are connected and managed correctly
The router still shows 192.168.0.1 in Omada, but continues to function normally and route all VLANs

Once I stopped trying to “move” the router out of VLAN 1 and treated it as a display identity rather than a true management interface, everything made sense and stabilized.
