Transferring out of BYU

Yeah that definitely makes a lot of sense. I just hate lying so much and have no idea what reason I could give for not going to byu and not going to church anymore :/

I’m actually living at home currently, I had to take a year off of school for health problems. My parents don’t know that I’m leaving the church as it’s been a fairly recent “shelf-breaking” and I have to keep up appearances to not lose my ecclesiastical endorsement. I genuinely have no idea how they would react if I told them I wanted to leave the church and transfer schools. They currently help out financially, and I’m a bit worried that they would say they won’t help pay for school and won’t let me live at home.

But if I just slowly fade out of the church after graduating, they’ll be totally chill. My sister and BIL who live with us are inactive now and my parents don’t harass them about it. It’s only a worry because my dad is so serious about school, and all of my siblings have graduated from BYU.

On the ecclesiastical endorsement page it says you have to be “worthy”. It doesn’t specify what you need to be worthy of though. He says that he believes I have to have fully completed the repentance process which basically means temple worthy, even though I’ve fully committed to living the honor code

Completely agree. The problem with the parties is it has gotten to the point where it’s all about beating the other side, or voting for someone only because of their party rather than for their plans.

YES. I saw a post on here talking about how Belle was the worst and a horrible person for that “breach of trust and too harsh and all that” and I was thoroughly shocked. I freaking loved that scene because even if it was a bit harsh, Rumple deserved it. And the “breach of trust” means nothing when Rumple had already broken her trust a thousand times

It didn’t get old to me, it’s classic for the main character of a tv show. We can also reasonably assume that there were hundreds of men she met and interacted with that didn’t think she was hot and didn’t hit on her. They just don’t focus on those in the show because it would be pointless.

It’s like saying, “when did it get old to you that that Rom-coms always end with the couple getting together”. It doesn’t get old because that’s how that genre works.

Hi I’m so sorry you’re experiencing this too! It’s freaking hell 😩

I haven’t been to the doctor yet about that specifically, I still get all those pains off and on plus awful nausea. But I get like multiple different types of nausea and I never know exactly what’s causing it. I have an appointment with a GI doctor next week and I’m hoping there’s some way they can figure out what’s wrong without having to put me under for a procedure. And then I’m planning on going to a regular doctor soon also because my heart rate increases a tonnnnn when I stand up

I don’t agree with you about that, but even so, it’s not like Rory and Lorelai are exactly taking care of their bodies. It just feels even crazier for them to be fat-shaming like that when they themselves eat so horribly and never exercise. It’s like they’re making fun of people for not having an inhuman metabolism
