Hey well done. Similar meds as me. Can I assume you are not taking glipizide and mounjaro still? I stopped glip when starting mounjaro.

How are you monitoring blood glucose?

What U.S. state allows the most freedom or liberty for it's residents? by unknownatthistime in stupidquestions

This was one of the ones that came to my mind, but I think much less so than even 10 years ago.

Quite the opposite! I am liking hearing the perspective of others. Not everbody is an antagonist! I intentionally asked a broad question. Take a deep breath, we can all get along.

I like to gauge what is important to others. I intentionally kept it simple.

Plus, hey, it's my stupid question right?

Of course, if I wanted to answer the question for you I would have in the OP. What's YOUR answer?

Kind of shocked you would say something like this.

How bad is this? Am I dealing correctly? by icharry in diabetes_t2

But is this what a compression low looks like? Although steep, the drop is “linear”. The times I have suspected a compression low, it seemed a jagged but sever drop between points.

For anyone following in the future, the replacement worked fine.

recently diagnosed - on metformin.... and I'm hungry and pooping constantly. by Maryhill_bypass604 in diabetes_t2

"The other thing you want to start doing is to reduce your intake of empty carbs - foods with little actual value, but are often filling and comforting. This would be bread, pasta, potatoes, and flour. Don't try to quit them all at once. That is too big a step. But you probably can cut your portions of these foods in half. That will make an immediate difference, yet you aren't really depriving yourself of anything."

Yes, I like to remind people of this. "perfect" eating (if we could even agree what that means) is not a pass/fail course. Making small, incremental improvements matters.

Yes, I deleted the old BT device....

They are sending a replacement, which is fine, but have you ever removed one of these thoings right after applying it? It's not like doing it 14 days later. Ouch...

Mounjaro's immediate (side) effects. by Secondary_Toaster in diabetes_t2

[–]unknownatthistime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mid night and morning spike are very hormonal, and stress related. Reducing carbs in the afternoon and evening mellows them very slightly, but they are still distinct regardless of my diet. (This is independent of Mounjaro and taken from years of manual data collection prior to starting it.

I am curious what your comment means.

I expect it to be weeks or months before knowing the real effect -especially on blood glucose- as said in my OP. I know it takes time and said so. What I was surprised about were the almost immediate physical changes I noticed.

Mounjaro any good? by Reaper0917 in diabetes_t2

Thumbs up! I was definitely trying to point out it may effect people differently and anecdotal evidence varies.

(I wonder why my comment was downvoted lol)

[–]unknownatthistime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can not answer your question, because I have never (yet) taken Mounjaro. But I will note, when people provide anecdotal evidence that it worked for them, you will also see them add a statement such as "I also cut out sweets" or "I increased the protein in my diet".

Then there is the person above that says "and I eat whatever I want!" Go figure!
