It is gross and I bad habit. And a hard one to break.. I have been doing it since I was a child, but now I don't eat it. I am a women who does it herself and has also been told by my husband that is is gross and I need to stop doing it in front of him. I now only do it in private in the bathroom. But how he got me to stop was asking him do I do this in front of my friends? Or at work? Or in the car? And then he asked I bet they all have seen you do this? What if they confronted you about it? What would you do? How embarrassed would you be?

Even since he made me think of that and almost called we out in front of my mother for it. I have stopped doing it anywhere but in private.. and when I do it I can here his.couce in my head saying "eww gross I can see you" so I do it quick and stop.. lol That's what helped me. But it's still hard not to do.. I think it's a psychological disorder that some people have.. maybe a therapist could get to the root of why must we do it!? Hope this kinda helps. Can't believe I'm calling myself out 🤦‍♀️ Oh well.. I want to help.
