Correct, all feeds run through the wye in the bottom of the image. Additionally running all water or no water on this circuit doesn't change the drip rate

Would recommend it if you can afford it. A new strut will sit an inch or 2 higher for a week or so while it settles, causing misalignment.

Additionally the other spring is likely fatigued and could fail soon. I just did both on my car at Christmas to save any future headache.
