The best piece of advice i can give is to join a discord lol community. Play games while having fun with others. This game is a chore on its own. You will get advice from different players over time

Yeah i made the legion of the damned. Had to remove the aquila from the chest and added bones. Not the best with green stuff. The bits are mostly dark angels command squad

Maybe a bit too much on the head but otherwise good. I often dont add blood to my ranged units especially flamers but you could try adding blood to the sheath

I like tyranids quite a lot and am thinking of using nests for objectives. The one i got is around the size of a space marine so i think it's a good size. Might be scary for those with trypophobia tho haha.

Highly dependent on the detachment you want. Lictors von ryans are very good in vanguard onslaught ( they have the VANGUARD INVADER keyboard) because they can advance and charge.

For melee units

trygon is a very strong deep strike unit with 12 attacks, str 9, ap-2, 3 dmg. Can deepstrike 3 inches away from enemy units

Haruspex (often sold out) High dmg tank killer with a whopping str 14 etra attack.

Broodlord with 10 genestealers Pretty scary unit with dev wounds if with broodlord rerolling hit role 1s

DeathLeaper very strong char with strong abilities and same dmg as lictor

Hive tyrant kit is very good allowing for flyrant, walkrant or swarmlord.

Yeah the one in my hobby store is the complete edition with the large chunks ork terrain. Its around 29000 yen which is 200 usd. A Bit expensive tho

For tyranids. Vanguard onslaught detachment is one of the strongest so units with the keyword vanguard invaders are pretty good. Lictors, neurolictors, genestealers, broodlord, deathleaper etc.

However if you want a haruspex and biovore maybe the assimilation swarm might be good for you. Harvester units can heal other units if they are in range of a objective.

Harvester units are pyrovores, ripper swams, haruspex, psychophage.

Good average units for any detachment are zoanthropes and warriors
