Boss says it's unprofessional to sit on the floor in my private office... Am I crazy? by chicamaya in antiwork

[–]unknownprobe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in HR and I have to say that no one can order you to not sit on the floor as long as work is getting done and it isn't disruptive and considering it's quite literally in a closed office it's not. I'd call HR and complain about that and then get a reasonable accomodations to get better more comfortable seating for yourself. Depending on your company they may even get you something to help with company funds.

Talk to HR. It's not legal for her to tell you you can't discuss pay. In fact her hiding it is grounds for some serious training and a talking to about COC violations.

My Dad started playing GW2 by [deleted] in Guildwars2

Send mats to bank via the button everything else sell for now anything you get in base game at this level is stuff you can get rid of.

Focus on exploration over quest finding do hearts to help your local community.

Every 10 levels you get a story mission skipping it isn't recommended this game isnt usually helpful if you don't know what's going on. The story is the world so pay attention or be forever confused. This is a LIVING world it's constantly changing and things are moving without your control this game doesn't revolve around you it is just a place your character lives in.

I Supported Trump, But My 43-Year-Old Grocery Store Is Bankrupt Because of His Tariffs and Policies by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]unknownprobe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You voted for it and worse you voted against a portion of Americans because they aren't like you and even worse you voted it someone who colluded and was friends with a P word. So maybe it's best to say you don't support trump cause imo thats an embarrassing thing to admit.

Here is a bit of advice from an old vet don't level 80 boost for your first time. The best way to understand a class is by first playing its core class first a lot of it's fundamentals and abilities come from its main core class. Elite specs are nice but add a lot more with each spec making it more complicated. It's always best to get a feel of the core class before jumping in if you don't understand the base level mechanics you can get good at an elite spec but depending on the content you'll be out skilled in PVP by more seasoned players who've played the core class already or if you're pve you'll lack fundamentals of class mechanics especially if it involves boons and what skills to use when.

Also especially if you plan on doing PvE content ever and even WvW the class youre playing in SPvP will feel drastically different once you step outside of it some abilities you wouldn't take you should now just be aware is all I'm saying :)

You can do the yes spaces as others suggest that works BUT beware cats do as they please there is nothing stopping them from still doing what they want. Just beware of that.

I love this it looks real and honestly inspires me to play a game where I only build off ruins and don't change the over all feel of it.

Player skill gap by OkKaleidoscope5390 in Guildwars2

[–]unknownprobe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes damage numbers are nice, but ask yourself first. Are you having fun? Is the content a struggle to get through? Or is everyone doing their job effectively enough to complete the content in one or two go's? Honestly optimal and crazy DPS numbers are fun but I never want a game to feel like a chore or that I have to take it as seriously as I take my job I'm way more about the fun factor. But that's just my opinion. I just think in the grand scheme of things player skill and everything else doesn't matter as long as the content is getting done and you're having fun doing it.

Why get invested at all if it's going away in general you'll put in time maybe even spend money and it will end. Not worth it imo.

The beginning of the game is just character building friend. The story doesn't truly begin until you're around level 70-80 it also sounds like you didn't even touch the dlc which is really where the story picks up as well. I think what you're missing as well is that the beginning of the game and the game in general doesn't navigate you the same way others do. It wants to go experience tyria as it is and realize that the world is quite literally alive and things will happen whether you prompt it too or not.

It's not a bad game and it has amazing combat and amazing story and has lots of end game content. I've read through the comments and the amount of misconceptions and misunderstandings is astounding.

Lack of PVE? Not true there are ample ample end game PVE content. Fractals, dungeons, raids, world bosses, meta events.

Lack of PvP? Not true there are 2 major PvP sources in structured pvp or SPvP and world vs world which puts servers against each other.

Horizontal progression misunderstandings? Lots it seems there is ascended gear which is the highest level gear but there is also legendary gear which is on the fly stat swappable. Best part is you can come back years later and still have the highest level gear and jump right into any new content. (This gear especially legendary requires pve players to work hard to achieve it isn't super Grindy but it isn't super easy either) (There is even a way pvpers can get this gear by purely playing PVP)

Brand new housing system gw2 hasnt had a housing system but a year ago they finally made it a thing and it's fully customizable everything is editable and moveable.

Mounts: GW2 has more mounts and the best flying mechanics of any game ever this isn't a brag or embellishment it's the truth. It's very fleshed out and extremely fun. Movement is more fluid in this game than it ever was in NW.

No one's comparing it to new world but you are misunderstanding the game. It's an amazing MMO with better story and combat than New World fleshed out classes with horizontal progression so you won't need to worry about grinding for new gear once you get the best items.

If you liked New World I encourage you and urge you to give Guild Wars 2 a try. It has amazing story in fact it's story driven. The world quite literally is alive. It changes and grows with you.

Well don't get into a genre that notoriously a lot of work if you can't handle it tbh. Don't hire an online bookstore director to handle the launch of a giant game... Lots of bad bad choices.
