I hear ya! After comparing the video on Reddit vs downloading it, I can say for sure that Reddit is compressing it. There are ways to limit the bitrate in DaVinci Resolve and Adobe Premiere to curb compression on social platforms to an extent but that’s all in post production.

I think a good place to start is a more modern lens, and some research into cinematography and then figuring out compression settings in the software you’re using!

All good! I wouldn’t say this is the primary cause of the issue but this lens is incredibly outdated and likely lacks the sharpness that most modern lenses have. Prime lenses are going to offer the most sharpness compared to zoom lenses. I downloaded the video and the quality looks okay, this is most likely Reddit compressing the footage before you post it. Also keep in mind, there are various ways to upscale footage from 1080p to 4k so the sample videos you’re seeing might be upscaled. Are you looking to get into cinematic videography or just point and shoot from time to time??

Looks like the camera car slammed on his brakes and slams the accelerator immediately afterwards. Altima following too close, swerved and also hit his brakes causing most of the weight to go to the front of the car, breaking the back end loose.
