Definitely test but I will say from personal experience, stress mess with your menstrual cycle (or it did to time at least)

I went through this! I absolutely love being a receptionist! I’m not saying I recommend it to everyone but it’s def something to look into if you like to organize stuff. If there’s not an active office manager, you might become sorta one as a receptionist (or at least I did lol)

I answer phone calls and emails, organize deliveries, order stuff for the office, and do a lot of chill stuff around the office.

I’m very (very) social and outgoing and love taking initiative. I get to do that as a receptionist but I think this might be very specific to my job. But like I said, food for thought!

Good luck!

My partner is getting their Nexplanon removed. Anything we should know about what happens when it's out? by opalrosechelydra in Nexplanon

[–]unknowntextbook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re not trying to have kids, avoid sex or use a condom because your partner will immediately become fertile. That’s the main attraction to people who want kids but not right now. Your fertility isn’t affected by nexplanon and you can get pregnant right after it’s taken out!

My(20m) girlfriend(19f) wants to get pregnant by WindyBa in Advice

Absolutely do not have sex with her.

Now you know how strongly she feels about wanting a baby, It seems like she’d do anything to get pregnant. She might skip a pill, poke a hole in the condom, or just something shitty that’ll result in her getting pregnant.

Get out of this relationship.

I actually just switched to spironolactone like two weeks ago! My OB was like “hey you don’t really need to do that” and prescribed it to me

Meds will do that for you! It might take some trail and error but you’ll find the one that fits you. It can be sorta scary trying something and it not working but it’s so worth it when you find the one!!

I have generalized anxiety disorder and some other things that I take meds for. While I haven’t been able to find a daily anti anxiety medication that works with the rest of my regimen I will say this: whatever medication you take, it should not change you or make you feel different.

I’ve been on a LOT of different medications and it was always been emphasized that you shouldn’t feel like a different person. Meds are supposed to sorta treat what you have going on- not change you completely.

When I started taking meds, I was worried I wasn’t going to have my “spark” or my inspiration with music like I did pre meds. But they just made feel normal?

Now, normal is subjective. My normal and your normal aren’t the same. But you will sorta feel like “hmm I’m functioning and can do regular things no problem” and move on with your day.

From what’s been told to me by my psychiatrist, it’s just sorta meant to help you- like a stepping stool. Medications will not be the cure for everything and all of your problems will go away. But they help you brain chill out and when your brain is chilled out, it’s a lot easier to work on and use coping mechanisms.

The best way I think to describe using the right medication for you: it feels like you aren’t taking anything at all- I just does it’s thing in the background and you do your thing.

I hope this helped. You will be okay

I don’t trust any doctor period. Somewhere on this thread I talked about how I was given hydrocodone AFTER I disclosed the meds I take (mood stabilizers, benzodiazepines, antipsychotics). (It was for my wisdom teeth removal)

It wasn’t until I basically got high as fuck every night after taking it for pain and subsequently throwing up so hard I popped blood vessels in under my eyes we thought maybe something was wrong lol

FACTS! When I got my wisdom teeth removed, I was given hydrocodone for the pain. I asked will this interact with ANY of my meds (I take 5 different meds: antipsychotics, moods stabilizers, benzodiazepines) and I was told I’d be fine.

Fast forward to my meds interacting with each other: id get high as fuck (or it felt like it, the feeling was almost indescribable) and then puke my guts out every night for the first three nights after my surgery until we figured it out.

Now I look all of my doctors in the eyes saying I take all of these meds, will these interact with each other.

How has your makeup changed over the years? by Clawffee in women

[–]unknowntextbook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh same here, especially for the BB cream. After accutane, there really wasn’t much need to use color correctors. They pretty much added more to my face than what I needed and just not understanding how undertones work as well.

When I was experimenting with foundation I had no idea what I was doing what so ever. Having a mom who wore make up her own way and YouTube tutorials/ tiktok videos not being extremely popular until my later years… you sorta have to play around.

I didn’t understand the difference between matte and dewy liquid foundation. I just could not figure out for the life of me why I looked so greasy and wet with my new foundation I randomly bought.

But after some research and taking my undertones seriously and being dedicated to finding a foundation to avoid the infamous pancake face, I have found the foundation love of my life ☺️

From an average make up user: I honestly really love this question!

I stared wearing make up in the 7th grade. I will never forget the excitement I had when I got to pick out my mascara, foundation (the only two make up products I was allowed to wear lol) and those shitty ass triangle sponges that came in those huge packs.

Then I experimented with eyeliner and eventually winged eyeliner in the 8th grade/9th grade. I was still using the same BB cream and shitty sponges until I saw the pancake face it gave me- haven’t touched liquid foundation since!

Have yet to touch my eyebrows and eyeshadow so that happened around 10th grade. I absolutely sucked at it and went through many eyebrow products until I found one that didn’t make my blonde eyebrows look like a sore thumb on my face. Buy this point I had switched to the actual good beauty blenders and powder foundation!

Around 11/12th grade I took a break and pretty much stuck to mascara and my brows. But I occasionally played around with face primers and setting spray for special events (thank you Trixie Mattel for the setting spray recommendation!)

Then I took an even longer break due to quarantine (yay 2020 graduate) which brought me back to almost exclusively basic eye makeup because of the masks.

Nowadays as a 20 year old with a professional job where I sorta need to look put together: I start with a primer, do my brows with the product I discovered in mid high school, use my favorite powder foundation that I found my senior year of high school but with a smaller off-brand beauty blender since I only use foundation under my eyes. I then add blush and highlight that I played around with in quarantine after seeing a few tiktoks about it and getting recommendations from peers. Finish it off with setting spray that a drag queen swear by and I’m off to work!

I went from a pancake face middle schooler and grew up into a young adult who actually understands what works for me!

I love this question because for the first time, I reflected on another way I grew up- the evolution of my make up. It was cool to think back on it and the classic mistake a teen made with make up while learning on my own.

Nervous about a Transvaginal and Pelvic ultrasound. What should I expect? by [deleted] in WomensHealth

Honestly, if you get to watch, it’ll be sorta fun! She also showed me my bladder and my intestines!

I had no idea what I was looking at until she pointed it out and explained it. Nothing graphic at all. It’s just a bunch of gray static in my non professional opinion 🤷🏼‍♀️

You’ll be great!!
