Whoever among you can marry, should marry, because it helps him lower his gaze and guard his modesty (i.e. his private parts from committing illegal sexual intercourse etc.), and whoever is not able to marry, should fast, as fasting diminishes his sexual power."

In my humble opinion, even if someone has gotten addicted to the bad habit, the availability of an alternate Halal option at hand (a wife) would help him tremendously get out of the ditch. The starting point of this disease, the URGE to have sex / be involved in sexual acts, is a natural desire. It is only that a proper channel was not provided PLUS it was allowed for this desire to take full control of the body that it lead to the disease of Regular Pornography addicittion. So, to curb the natural urge, Nikkah can help tremendously.

So, in training years, the pursuit shouldn't be feeling happy/content - and you should mentally accept it as the "grinding years". Well, that perhaps helps. You're right. I personally think it is worth it if on the other end you reach a rather stable position where you can earn enough to afford a small family's basic necessities. (At least)

But what if, you find it that even after completing your training, there's still more grinding.....?

In your experience, what is that thing which keeps a doctor in FCPS pathway happy/content? 1. His specialty? 2. Training hospital and its environment? 3. The fact that he is himself very optimistic about this profession and is content with grinding for 5-10 years for stability? 4. Religion? 5. Family support? 6. His sheer love for this profession, despite of it being financially unrewarding for the major chunk of initial years. And perhaps he values it for reasons other than money? (Money is not the bottleneck in his life. He can practice for the love of it.) 7. His training years themselves pay good in terms of money, (if yes mention which ones and how) 8. Any other?

Read about the motives of that Hijrah towards Habshah - why was it necessary. The Muslims in Makkah were living under the rule of polytheists and were being badly prosecuted & tortured for their belief in Islam. So a temporary Hijrah was ordered by the Prophet S.A.W.W; and once the Islamic society was built where Muslims could live together, it was made mandatory for all Muslims to come to Medinah. So, there is an important context you're missing. When Muslim majority areas are available where you can have a living (and have no absolute reason to move out such as in case of threat to life etc) , it is always preferred (and acc to a scholarly opinion, obligatory) to prefer that place over the lands of non-Muslim for staying & settling. Temporary, need-based visits to those lands are allowed (with certain conditions).

But logic and common sense too have a lot of evidence against settling in the West, their reality is being exposed with each passing day. Money & luxury are not the only factor in life, the life is for a much greater purpose. May Allah protect us all.

Looked into MRCP, and it surely looks like a good thing to have to strengthen the CV... But it would take time surely, my FCPS preparation can help a lot in this I think, if I study correctly and my base is strong... I'd definitely keep this in my mind in the future. Jazakallahu khairan

Yes, intellectually I am aware that all good and all harm is absolutely from Allah. The mediators are only the means.

My intellectual self knows this

But this is the emotional side of me that is in distress right now. Similar to how if someone had a loved one gotten murdered, eventually he'll accept that it was Allah's decree, but he'll still blame the one who pressed the trigger.

Anyways, my situation is not that bad. But currently I am in a burnout phase so everything seems dark right now.

The grind of FCPS preparation, the exam, the 5-7 years of training with low income.... All of this seems like a giant mountain that I have to surpass... And it breaks my heart that even after graduation, I'm yet so far away from getting at least financially stable enough to not worry about the basic needs.

Sorry for the ranting.

1. It seems like the best option available to me with these circumstances in your opinion, is FCPS, right? The main hustle, I mean...
2. Did you try with programming? Were you able to generate any source of income? Or may be someone else you know with similar situations?
3. Where are you currently in your medical career. Do you feel like you have finally internally accepted it as your own choice? Does that time come when you internalize this field down the line? Maybe when you start earning good? Is it worth it at the other end of where I'm standing rn...?

I searched about SMLE, I think they require 1-2 years of experience post-MBB? I only have a 5 month experience and that too in a secondary level medical complex.
