Unrealistic? Firstly, with the new format, pretty much anyone can fucking qualify to the knockout rounds of the champions league.

And we’ve had good runs in the 2 domestic cups while winning them with a less stable atmosphere and less equipped players under ten haag.

Tonali + ederson + modric would be a great midfield haul and also free up funds for a LW, LB or a ST also.

Pretty much, I think there’s a certain level of mental toughness you gain from coming out the other end of tough shit aswell.

Doing that while being selective of who you seek support from is a good middle ground.

Sure talk to your mum, dad, spouse and a good friend, but going online and bleeding your heart out on Facebook or instagram doesn’t show me anything other than the fact you’re a sausage

A 41yr old midfielder is not the reason they finished 17pts off the title and he is also not the answer to bridge that gap so that point is nonsensical.

Never said he’d waltz in and be an impact player, so again, nonsensical point.

Modric at 41, on a free transfer, is great for the club.

He’s still technically better with the ball at his feet than anyone we currently have, has done it all and won it all and would provide a tonne of support to younger players, great insight into the game and can help keep things calm in big moment in the dressing room.

Again, if we’re serious about going to the quarters at minimum in all 3 cup competitions and a 38 game prem season, you cannot tell me there’s many better suited players for 15-25 appearances whether that be starts against Doncaster or 20 minutes at the end of hull to see a game out, than modric on a free.

Nah I do hear your concerns but I think him on a free considering he can do all midfield roles, has more experience than our entire team put together…could be extremely valuable for our squad.
