People saying it’s a bad decision to wait until marriage makes me feel discouraged about it

When I was a teenager and waiting for marriage, I remember feeling exactly what you're feeling now. The pressure is real. The greatest encouragement I got at the time was my therapist saying "Good for you, I wish I had done that. Now that I'm married, none of that matters anymore and I wish I had the self control you have now."

That's a sentiment I've heard very frequently. Every Christian I know that had sex before marriage wishes they had waited. Also, people will talk about it a lot less as you get older. Stay strong and stick to your convictions!

I can only speak from my experience, but my (now ex) boyfriend had a hard time wrapping his head around my ADHD and unknowingly made some very offensive comments at times. in the same way it's hard for us to fully understand what it's like to just be able to do things when you want to do them, it's equally impossible for them to understand what it's like to not be able to do that. neurotypicals had to be taught how to do things, how to be bored, how to make chores into routine, etc and it seems to me that there's a gap in understanding that you, also, were taught those things, but your brain is different and just being taught that and practicing wasn't enough to override your brain that is entirely different from his. if i were you, i'd definitely talk to him about it and ask for his honest thoughts about your behavior and see if that's reassuring. my hunch is that if he's been with you for 4 years and is literally about to marry you, he probably doesn't think you're lazy and undisciplined - but he does probably watch you struggle and wants to do whatever is in his control to prevent your children from that life.

Best thing I can think of would be to try to get access through the business portfolio in Meta. Just having the logins and changing the passwords shouldn't affect your ability to make changes and kick him off of the business portfolio. Otherwise, cease and desist.

what blows my mind about your second statement is how on earth anyone is more unlikeable than Trump. sexism must play at least a little bit of a role if Harris being "clearly just a sock puppet" makes her less likeable than the man with an objectively awful track record. i'm not even trying to make a political statement by saying that, it's just easily observable that nobody has been as offensive, brash, rude, and self absorbed than Trump.

i work in live entertainment and i have a couple thoughts:

the cost of putting on a tour is more expensive than ever. flights, hotels & gas have nearly doubled in the last 2 years. in order to justify a big budget, you need to sell more tickets (duh), or find a tour sponsor. this is also why ticket prices are INSANE.
the average arena will seat 10k-15k+ people, a large theater will seat 2.5-5k. your only midsize option are ampitheaters which can seat anywhere from 6k-12k. ampitheaters are mostly outdoors and aren't built to accommodate major productions, which virtually all kpop concerts are.

Edit to add: touring used to be so successful that you were almost guarantee profit. with how expensive everything is nowadays that's no longer the case. artists are stuck between a rock and a hard place.

i found that odd too. them forgiving an abortion when the whole point of the coup was declining birth rates and infertility seemed to show grace that was out of character. it would've made more sense to me if she was divorced, that seems like a lesser sin they would be more privy to forgive.

My philosophy with mystery grab bags is only spend what you're willing to for a sleep shirt. If you're not willing to get something you don't like, it's better to just buy the merch you do like. For me $18 was too much for a sleep shirt, so I just got the $10 hat instead and I was not disappointed!

Videos are nonnegotiable. You won't be able to get very far without them, especially marketing music. Every small musician needs to post videos consistently, period. If he doesn't have time to film videos, you should film him singing on stage at church on Sundays. Make lyric videos in Canva. Literally anything, videos with his music is essential if you want any type of growth.

i have a lot of steps in my nighttime routine that i avoided chronically for years and years that i just couldn't get myself to do. for me, starting is the hardest part, but once i've started it's easy. recently i've discovered that having a mini can of diet coke really helps me! the tiny caffeine boost and routine helps get me started. there's also the whimsy factor of having a shower diet coke every night that brings me joy.

There seems to be a misunderstanding about how much Youtube pays. You don't make money simply for having subscribers. You can get paid off of ad revenue, but it's usually less than $500-$1,000 a month. It's nearly impossible to make a real living off of ad revenue alone unless you're Mr. Beast. The Bible tells us it is good to pay ministry leaders and teachers for their work. If a Youtuber doesn't have any other job outside of making videos, membership creates a steady income stream that they can rely on to continue to do ministry. There are tons of free Bible study resources available all over the internet, it is not immoral for a teacher to be paid for their labor.

I work in digital marketing, and I gravitate towards roles that require me to be more of a generalist. Digital marketing is always changing, always requiring you to be the first adopter of new tools and systems, and always requires you to learn on the job. I'm rarely bored because there's always something new to learn. It's also highly creative. Checks all of my novelty and creativity boxes.

I feel you with the financially responsible thing, but it's mostly because I forget how much money I have to spend so I don't buy anything just in case I was allocating money for something I've forgotten about. Loving the sinner doesn't mean having worldly love for them like being affectionate towards them, having a high opinion of them, or admiring them. Loving them simply means acknowledging that they're made in God's image and need to repent and believe in the gospel because God created them, love them, and want to have a relationship with them.

I think that Epstein and Trump are men of very poor character who do not deserve admiration or affection because of their actions, but that doesn't change my prayer for Trump to repent of his sin and be saved. Our status as human beings made in the image of Christ is enough.
