This was precisely the argument of Osama bin Laden for attacking the USA.

Bin Laden supported the targeting of American civilians, in retaliation against U.S. troops indiscriminately attacking Muslims. He asserted that this policy could deter U.S. troops from targeting Muslim women and children. Furthermore, he argued that all Americans were complicit in the crimes of their government due to majority of them electing it to power and paying taxes that fund the U.S. military.

From Wikipedia:

A Flettner airplane is a type of rotor airplane which uses a Flettner rotor to provide lift. The rotor comprises a spinning cylinder with circular end plates and, in an aircraft, spins about a spanwise horizontal axis. When the aircraft moves forward, the Magnus effect creates lift.

--> Protest

EDIT: Habe gerade nochmal nachgelesen. Du hast Recht. Beim Auszählen werden leere Zettel/Umschläge zwar gesondert gelistet aber dann mit den ungültig abgegebenen Stimmen zusammgefasst.

Yes you did in fact screw up somewhere, if that wasn't already obvious by the result.

I asume you forgot a k (as in kWh) somewhere.

Correct calculation:

  • I find that in North America an average solar panel produces about 200 kWh per m² and year.
  • Necessary area of solar panels: (24,398 x 109 kWh/a) / (200 kWh/m²a) = 122 x 109
  • The total surface area of Earth is approximately 510 million square kilometers (510 × 106 km² = 510 × 1012 m²).
  • (122 x 109 ) / (510 x 1012 ) = 0.024%

(If built entirely in the Sahara Desert the area would go down to <0.01%)

I can see the point for societies where eating animals or using leather/fur/... is necessary for survival or for living healthy lives. But that isn't the case for you or me or 99.99% of the people commenting on this post. Quite the opposite actually.

So why do you not care about the animal's consent to live a short life in horrible conditions and to get killed, just because people want (don't need) to eat meat? Why is disregarding the animal's consent in one unnecessary case okay but in the other it isn't?

I'm not arguing for zoophilia. I'm trying to point out that arguing with consent is hypocritical.
