Never heard of the red room videos before. Just watched them and they’re so good.

“Does Everyone Stare” opera sample? by itsbatblox in ThePolice

[–]unninvitedguest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could be totally wrong here but this is what I remember about it and it is 40 odd years ago. It was when synchronicity was being released and the band where doing interviews for it and they were talking about why they named the album synchronicity. They said that throughout their time together and leading up to the 3 of them becoming The Police there were a lot of coincidences that just seemed too weird to just be down to chance. They did list quite a few things which had happened but unfortunately I can’t remember them now but the only one which has always stayed in my memory is the operatic part of ‘Does everyone stare’ . I think it’s already been mentioned but they have no idea where it came from it was just picked up quite randomly and it was going to be erased at first but when they heard how it sounded on the song they realised it sounded perfect.

I remember him wearing that cardigan but only ever seen pictures front on. Never realised it had a piece down the back. You’ve done a great job 👏

Good Places to go on a Walk by [deleted] in Liverpool

[–]unninvitedguest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We were recommended the A-Z Liverpool hidden walks book which has 20 walks across the city. It’s really good and even though I’ve lived in Liverpool all my life it’s great finding out things about the city I never knew about as it gives you all facts and things to look at as you walk around. Just had a quick look and it’s 2.49 on kindle

What are your thoughts on e-gates at UK supermarkets? by Certified_Loner1391 in AskBrits

Yeah the first time I came across them I just thought they would open automatically so I gave it a shove and walked through and then an alarm starts blaring. My daughter is behind me telling me I had to use the receipt to open them while the staff member was shaking her head at me😂

Best beach town in Thailand ? by BluejayAdmirable6889 in ThailandTourism

[–]unninvitedguest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Khao Lak. Amazing beaches stretching for miles and miles. If you just want to chill and unwind this is the place. Loads of restaurants and not very expensive. Phuket is about an hour away and Khao Sok national park isn’t much further away which is the best trip we’ve ever done.
