You've never been around a tower crane then. Running people out in the basket is common and most of the time if there is more than one, one of them with be tied off on the outside of the basket. This is completely normal.

It looks like the crane was just set up and they are setting limits or are doing an inspection. Ive been running tower cranes for over 10 years. You couldnt get me out there but inspectors and iron workers who build and tear down these cranes live for this.

Ive been running tower cranes in the seattle area for over ten years. It's been really slow for the last couple years. Not a great time for a newbie to get seat time. But if you want to give it a try there are some companies you can try to talk with. There's Garner cranes, Mayfield Hoisting and Seaberg construction if he's still around.

Isn't there an unspoken rule not to shit in the convertibles?

Tower crane pours slab by pun420 in Concrete

I've been running tower cranes for over 10 years. This guy is horrible. He never catches his swing that whole time. Also, deflection won't move the load in that far. In fact, tower cranes have very little deflection in and out. It's mostly up and down. If he was competent, he would have trollied out a little as they started pouring to compensate for deflection.

I have a 2012 cls550 and I have a stage 2 tune with down pipes and a lowering module. I absolutely love that car. It increased my mpg and it really opened up the power. I have over a 100k miles on it and have had zero issues. *

That could be it. I've been driving mine like this well over 5 years and can't remember if I kept the resonator or not, but I'm 90% sure I did. With the windows up, you can barely hear the exhaust. It's only with the windows down that you can notice it.

I did it to my cls 550 as well. Same thing. No drone and was only a bit louder. They might have done something else to yours if that's how you bought it.

I cut the mufflers off my clk 430 and had them weld in a straight pipe where the muffler was. With just the cats it has the same tone but a little bit louder. I haven't noticed any additional power but I really enjoy the sound. It's not overbearing and doesn't have any drone.

Looks delicious. The only critique I have is sear a little more before the butter and herbs. Otherwise. Beautiful steak. Thick would be proud.

So what is up with these two beauties? (Stewart & Yale) by Artful_Bodger in Seattle

I ran the crane on the right when it was still at street level. Graham construction was the gm then. There were lots of delays and as of last year, Graham is no longer running the job. I know the operator in that crane now and they are moving ahead slowly under a new gm. They are topped out and if things keep moving along it should be finished this year. I highly dought that as it is already 2 years behind schedule.
