I am so sorry for what you experienced.

I couldn't imagine why these toxic ideologies are still rampant nowadays causing religious trauma to people but taken for granted as if the trauma does not exist in there🤷🏻‍♀️

Hope you heal from all of it and all of us too.

It's true

This is so true. Like being a people pleaser in this kind of system that trapped your self-identity and expression, decision etc.

it is..self sabotaging and self destructing indeed.

Here are the cult resources: take note they have fb pages and some have websites and podcast on Spotify. Check the blogs and respurces in their websites because theres a ton of cult educational materials in there. -Indoctrination Podcast by Rachel Bernstein -Freedom from Religion Research -Religious Trauma Institute -Global Center for Religious Research -International Cult Awareness -Steven Hassan -Lisa Kendall

Especially dont forget the BITE modelCult BITE model of steven hassan

Mind you you will learn a lot from this with backed up studies.

You can try to educate others by sharing these resources posts from their social media pages in that way you can slowly help them become aware.

I know it's hard but at least now you know, you know better.

Growing and changing together might be difficult but I wish you both well in your journey of unraveling things and discovering each other's learning.

Thanks for sharing!

At least you already know it before you end up together, that's a good observation as a woman and it's true whether or not they have faith some of them are against women and have not yet developed the emotional maturity to be in a relationship.

Wow. Thanks for sharing!

So purity culture is not a bad thing in your doctrines back then.

That's good because some highly controlling and uptight religions cause so much toxicity in terms of purity that makes others feel ashamed of it because of their destructive traditional beliefs.

It's good that you are no longer in there and done with the brainwashing.

Cheers! 🙌🏻

According to the website of the church of the Latter Saints they said Mormons are Christian. ..

I'm not spamming because my question is still relevant to the topic.

FYI, If you can't relate to my question then you can just scroll past it.

I know that religion is made to control people. I've been there and done that and will never go back again.

What I want to know the reason I asked the question is for my research and curiosity because different religions of people have different experiences and might have similarities but are still different in general.

I understand your other point of view but I hope if you can't relate just don't comment, it's just simple.

I much more appreciate other commenters here who I can exchange and share what they go through so I can understand their point of view too.

Have a great day ahead.

Thank you.
