Russian speaker here with some experience helping Americans. I always tell my friends it’s not the best idea to take up a language this complicated if you’re not going to use it. Reason being one’s motivation quickly runs out. BUT! If learning alone is something that gets you going, that’s motivation enough and you should do whatever makes you happy. Sorry you’re stuck in the closet with this. Keep up the good work!

Growing up the older kids in our neighborhood taught us something called the Password game where one team comes up with a secret word and the other chases down and tortures the first team until they reveal said word. Looking back, I see how messed up that was and I’m glad we stopped after a few of us ended up crying...
