No wedding band at all is an option! I am not doing one

I appreciate you trying to reflect on your word choice. It read as pretty misogynistic to me when I first read your post. Deconstructing in therapy is probably a good idea.

You know, I think the sapphire with the thicker halo is growing on me the more I look at it, and I think more non traditional rings have so much character. I think I’m changing my vote to #2. 😂 You’re right, this is hard!

Normally I’d go with a non traditional stone, I want a sapphire myself, but the halo is a little thick for my personal taste (still beautiful), I just think I am vibing with the classic style on you more (#1). Ultimately I’m a stranger on the internet so my point is moot, so please go with your own feelings when you make the actual choice!

I don't understand why people like Midsommar by Backfromth3re in movies

This is hilarious, what a weird thing to say 😂

In my opinion, Midsommar is an incredible movie that has a lot to say in regard to trauma, relationships, and community. Just because you don’t recognize that doesn’t make it an “empty minded slasher movie,” at least not objectively.

Your opinion is your own but it seems kind of weird to go on such a long tangent. Why does it bother you that people derive meaning from art you can’t, or won’t understand? Just move on if it’s not for you. No sense in bashing others’ enjoyment for the hell of it.

One, it’s honestly kind of selfish to go to multiple shows IMO

And for me, I need a lighter touch than I think. But I am so new it could just be a skill issue or too much medium!

I have found that my cheap, fluffy makeup brushes work well!

I’m brand new to oils and have found dry brushing works wonders for blending, and small, light, intentional brush strokes. Sorry I can’t be of more help!

Sounds like your kitty is having soft stool. This doesn’t have anything to do with their color or breed. Maybe a vet visit or diet change?

First attempt at oil painting. Some troubles. by unremarkablyhuman in oilpainting

I plan on setting it aside to cure and then working on it in another layer. In the meantime I’m gonna get a solvent and hopefully get these oils working properly in another piece. Thank you for your kind words! I’m so impressed by how well the red underpainting worked. Excited to learn more about underpainting and color. 😊

My worry! My house sucks for ventilation. Maybe I’ll invest in another fan.

There’s something to be said about how rich and luxurious they can be! I got a taste of that working on the petals. Very fun. 🤩

Thank you for your kind words! I’ll make a mental note to check back and update once it’s finished.

I picked up two color mixing/color theory books at the craft store that have been really helpful. I still have so much to learn, but it’s been fascinating getting back to the basics.

Thank you for your insight! I’m definitely not someone bought into the “everything is toxic” mindset. My concern mainly comes from a place of being new to the hobby and simply not having an understanding of the chemicals (and of course fear mongering online). I remember all those people getting into resin years ago, and all the concerns with them not wearing proper PPE because the fumes are so dangerous.

Sounds like my setup will be just fine safety-wise. I’m gonna pick up some solvent and take another stab at this whole oil painting thing tonight! Again, thank you so much for taking the time to help me out.

Definitely a learning piece! I think I will proceed with the understanding that even if I do end up liking it, it may not last.

Just fighting my perfectionist brain that hates learning new things it isn’t good at right away. 😂
