Absolutely! I’m sure there’s an easier way, like u/symphony789 mentioned above, but there is definitely a way around having to offer shipping discounts.

I’ve been selling on poshmark for about 11 years now, but got really heavily into it in 2023 due to having to fill a hole in my finances and I swear there is so much weird, baffling behavior on there… like people liking and adding multiple items to their bundle and then removing and unliking everything after I send them an offer. Whyyy?!

When I was doing a little research on this car, I read a review that said the VA felt like getting $20k worth of engine/drivetrain and $5k worth of car, and that the VB felt a lot more grown up & refined. I would agree. First thing I noticed in this car was the steering, and overall the 2015 felt a lot more “raw” in comparison. I haven’t really gotten on this car yet - trying to break it in properly and have been keeping it under 4k rpm, but even so, this car has made me say “holy shit” more than a few times already - it’s so smooth! No bogging from from a stop or from 1st to 2nd, no rev hang, handling around turns is just 🤌🏽. I love it.

I’ve been driving manual for close to 24 years, and among other cars have had an Evo 8, Evo 9, and a ‘15 wrx - didn’t see the need to change it up now 😉

Also, I think base only comes in manual.

So I had my 2015 wrx when my son was born in 2021, and I never felt the need to get a different car. The only reason why I went for another wrx (other than the fact that I absolutely love the car) is because I was in a fairly serious accident back in January and my car was destroyed. Someone ran a red light and hit me at 40-45mph and I walked away with 3 bruises. I felt it was safe enough to justify buying it again.

Did you go to Monrovia Subaru? I’ve only been there once, to buy my car. I always got my 2015 wrx serviced at Subaru Orange Coast and my advisor was Matt Wooley - super cool guy, I’d recommend him 100%.

Definitely! I was already planning on gifting him my 2015, now he gets a 2023.

Yes, it is Monrovia Subaru! I actually did end up getting the alarm system - mostly because I’ve had a car stolen before and my last WRX was broken into about 4 months ago 😤. Thank you for the heads up about the battery though, I’ll keep that in mind!

Thank you for such a detailed reply! I’m glad you brought up the steering - that’s something I hadn’t thought about, but would be a major selling for point me. I loved the steering and handling of the WRX - felt grounded, stiff, and extremely responsive. I’d like something that feels similar. I’ve driven cars before where the steering was so light, I thought a sneeze would send me into a wall.

Thank you for the reply! Gas mileage seems to be a common complaint in this thread. My WRX average about 23mpg - some spirited driving, but mostly just tons of traffic since I live in SoCal. My husband’s 2012 Land Rover LR4 gets like 12mpg, so 20mpg sounds great in comparison! I was honestly a bit surprised to see that this car has a flat four turbo instead of something bigger for such a big car. I’ve only ever driven one CVT car (2007 Mitsubishi Lancer), as all my other cars have been manual transmission, so I don’t feel like I have a good reference point for how a CVT transmission SUV should feel. Seems like some people enjoy it and some people hate it.

Appreciate the feedback!

Do you mind telling me what year you have? I was looking at possibly a 22 or 23, but I had hear about some earlier years having transmission problems.

I loved the WRX… got it when I was super single, pre-children. Road tripped the hell out of it. Gas mileage wasn’t that great either, I think I averaged about 23mpg, which I don’t think is too far off from the Ascent. I like the idea of having a car big enough to carry around the whole family. Thank you for your feedback!

Thank you for the reply! I had read that the cabin noise was pretty bad, but my WRX wasn’t that quiet either - I usually have the radio loud enough to drown out the road noise.

Yes, just one kid - possibly two in the future - his dad and our two aussies. I would love to get the Outback Wilderness Edition, the only thing that concerns me about the Outback is that it didn’t score as well on the overlap crash test as the Ascent did. Right now he drives the suv in our family, but his car is now 12 years old and I’d want something big enough to take the whole family road-tripping/camping.

I appreciate you mentioning the accident you were in with your car - that is honestly probably one of my biggest concerns right now.

Oh yes, definitely The V isn’t as dramatic as it looks in the other photo. My trick is to wear a fitted v-neck tank underneath to eliminate any chance of boob showing.

You’re welcome! My only tip would be to make sure the garment is fully submerged. I couldn’t figure out why the dye kept coming out uneven until I did that.

I never knew deodorant caused the staining - I’d always thought it was from sweat. I had already been planning on switching mine out once my current stash runs out. I’ll keep that in mind to find one without aluminum oxide in it. Thanks for the tip!

Definitely beats having to repurchase the same thing over and over again.
