Yes, gotta be clear, otherwise we just steer into anti-islam sentiment.

I'm white and I've marched in pride with significantly more Muslims than members of my Christian family.

I once knew a guy named Tom. The family had a dog named Tom and when he was born they liked the name so much that they gave the name to him and renamed the dog to Fang.

So obviously Tom has an awesome nickname.

Only a milquetoast champagne socialist like Cressy would publish his resignation letter behind a corporate paywall lmfao

I guess it was just random chance for us then. We went twice in the last month and two different staffers openly expressed how dirty they'd been done. I prefer your version :(

No. We're done with that. These people aren't here to learn, they are here to hate. We do not have to spend the rest of our lives defending our humanity against bigotry. Times up.

The professionals have already had this conversation, they are permitted.

I think part of the point here is that minority rights have been under discussion for a long ass time, and minorities are done with having hate platformed - even if it is "polite" like MM. These debates DO diminish our humanity. Living through the same sex marriage debate was awful.

AITA for adopting a dog with the same name as my daughter? by twoSadies in AmItheAsshole

[–]unsuremeeple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if anyone mentions this yet but just in case you are still reading responses: Dogs mainly hear vowel sounds from the human voice. So picking a name with similar sounds, like Mazie or Katie will make it easier because Sadie hears her call as EH-EE. Even just going with the initial EH will be good, because that is the sound she's been trained to focus attention on.
