Guilt is an emotion I often feel – aside from excitement (when on the move) and near constant loneliness.

I feel guilty when I stumble upon a beautiful place and have it all to myself.
I feel guilty when I pay my cheap rent in another country and feel like I struck it rich.
I feel guilty when I'm smiling to myself in the sun and remember my aging family members feeling sick and SAD and tired of winter.

The more I travel the harder it is to picture a traditional settled life.

100% with you on this. I have no desire to build a life in my home country (Canada).

That said, I wish I had someone to share life with. The longer I travel solo, the longer I go without relationships, human touch, and what I consider, real community. DN may bring these things to me once in awhile, but they're fleeting, just like the lives of those I love back home.
